Can anyone comment on what the "sand" color looks like? The picture looks nice, but I'm worried it may come across looking dirty vs the white. And I'm worried the "white" may be too bright in my screened in patio. I have the "slate grey" on my outside table/chairs, but I wanted a contrast color. How much space does it take up in total with the chairs pushed in? Comparing to our current set which takes up a lot of room because the chairs cannot push in very far. Thanks!

Hello Natalie, The recommended minimum space we provide is based on the picture, with the chairs not pushed all the way in. The table is 37.73" across. Each chair is 16.25" from front to the back rest, but they can't be pushed under the table all the way. There would be approximately 6-7 inches of the chair that would not fit under the table. That would mean, from one side to the other, with both chairs sticking out 7 inches, you would need at least 51.73 inches. I hope this helps. Mindy

Does the black Farmhouse set get hot to the touch when in the sun?

However, on very hot, sunny days some of our darker lumber colors will absorb heat more readily if they are placed in the direct sunlight. We always recommend that our customers test the temperature of their furniture with the back of their hand on these hot days to ensure they are safe to sit on, but we also suggest moving the furniture to a shady area or covering the furniture with a suitable outdoor furniture cover.
