Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay!

"We purchased two chairs nine years ago and were very happy with them until one finally broke apart. We are confident the new chair will serve us equally well, The new chair design is slightly different; it does not seem quite as sturdy, and the arm rests are cut straight across instead of rounded like our old chairs. The good news is my wife noticed right away the seating angle of the new chair is not quite as steep, so it is easier to get out of when she is done relaxing."

Customer service is incredible

"I gotta admit - I returned my chairs. They just didn't work for me. BUT - their customer service was incredible start to finish. I have a table I bought from Polywood years ago, and it is indestructible. I had it out in the AZ sun for 3 years and in the winter it got snowed on, and it looks good as new. Great products, backed by great people."

Very Sturdy and well built

"Enjoying our chairs. Very study and well built. Were a little awkward to put together, but once we did the first one, found that turning it on its side worked well. Would have been nice if the instructions gave tips like this."

I bought 4 Adirondack chairs

"I bought 4 Adirondack chairs and two tables. The quality of Polywood products is very impressive. It all arrived in boxes, was VERY easy to assemble and we used them around our fire pit that night. Polywood makes solid products at a reasonable price. We will be back soon to furnish our front porch."

Q&A

i have the Nautical Adirondack Chairs in White. I cannot locate on your website the Ottoman that goes with this style
Hello Helen, Thank you for reaching out! We recommend the Vineyard Adirondack Ottomans (SKU: OT400) to pair with your Nautical Adirondack Chairs. For more information visit: https://www.polywood.com/vineyard-adirondack-ottoman-ot400.html Happy shopping! Thank you, Emma
HI there. I am looking at the dimensions above and there are two depth's listed. The one on the picture of 35.75 and then the overall which says the depth is 32.91. Can you tell me which one is accurate? Important to fit on my porch. Thank you.
Hi Kristen, Thank you for your question! The overall product depth of this chair is 32.91". Thanks for asking! Lana
What are the measurements of the top part of the Nautical ADIRONDACK CHAIR? I see the SEAT MEASUREMENTS are 20.5 inches width by 17.37 inches depth by 13.68 height but I need the measurements for the top part of the chair. I want to purchase cushions and I am not sure on the measurements. Thank you.
Hi Kay, Thank you for your question! If you are inquiring about the dimensions for the back of the chair, the width of the top of the back of the Nautical Adirondack Chair is approximately 18.67 inches. The height of the back is from the top of the seat to the top of the back measures approximately 25.96 inches. Hope this helped answer your question. Thanks for asking, Michelle
I would like to purchase cushions for the top and the bottom of the seat. What are the measurements for the top part seat and also the bottom?
Hi Kay, Great question! Here are the measurements for the seat of the Nautical Adirondack Chair: 20.5"W x 17.37"D x 13.68"H. I hope this helped answer your question. Thanks for asking, Michelle
Any issues with the red and tangerine fading more than the other colors?
Hi Kim, Great question! POLYWOOD uses Color Stay Technology, which is our proprietary blend of UV inhibitors that run all the way through each piece of genuine POLYWOOD lumber. This technology protects the color of our furniture over time so the color you fell in love with out of the box is the same color you’ll enjoy for years to come. However, sunlight eventually causes any color to fade, and there are things you can do to protect the colors. One option is to cover your furniture when not in use. While we do not sell outdoor furniture covers, we partner with the coverstore.com. Just provide them with the size of your furniture and they'll recommend the right product for you. Thanks for asking! Lana
Does the Adirondack chairs fold up for storage purposes?
Hi Marie, Great question! Our products are designed to withstand all weather climates. Whether the snow and ice of Northern Minnesota, the intense sun and heat of Arizona's deserts, or the wind and salt of the coast, POLYWOOD furniture is built to last outside through all seasons and weather conditions. You do not need to store our furniture, but if you choose to, it will hold up just fine in storage. Thanks for asking! Lana
Can these be used as a pool shelf chair? They will stay in water full time
Hi Linda, Great question! POLYWOOD Chaise Lounge Chairs can be used on a sun shelf. We recommend taking them out of the pool when not in use and rinsing them with clean water after use to keep your furniture looking its best for many years. Thanks, Lana
Is the mahogany a dark brown? No red tint ?
Hello Hollis, Thank you for your inquiry regarding our mahogany finish. Our mahogany finish is indeed a rich, dark brown without any noticeable red tint. It's a classic and elegant choice for various applications. I hope this information helps! Thank you.
Do you make this in a settee (2backs/1seat)? I have your chairs and would love a settee.
Hello Hope, Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in our products. I do apologize, but we do only have this style in chair design. I will certainly pass this along as feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve our products. Thanks -Jason
can you assemble chairs and ship I am disabled and would not be able to do
Hello Katherine, Thank you for your interest in our products. With our product, we do not have an option for white glove service, but we do recommend a company called Handy that does come out to help assemble items. Their website can be located here- https://www.handy.com/ Thanks -Jason
Is there any way you could add a piece to one of the legs so that the chairs could be affixed to the ground? The Waterville Community Land Trust has a beautiful park on the Kennebec River, but it is in an isolated part of a low-income neighborhood. Thanks very much!
Hello Ann, Thank you for reaching out. With our furniture being used for commercial use such as a Park you can use a standard L bracket piece to mount the furniture down. Thanks -Jason
Is the teal color dark?
Hi Jo, I apologize, but we do not have a teal lumber color. You may possibly be referring to the Aruba. If that is the case, no, I would not call that a dark color, but rather a bright one. If you would like to see the color in person, you can use the showroom locator in the top right of the website. I do suggest calling locations before traveling, to make certain they have what you are looking for. You can also purchase lumber samples on the website, so that you can see those colors before making your choice. I hope this helps, Mindy
ARE THE MARINE GRADE QUALITY FASTERNERS 18-8, 305 0R 316 GRADE STAINLESS?
Hello Laraine, Great question! All POLYWOOD hardware is 18-8 stainless steel with an AlloChrome 3200+™ finish and cosmetic coating. Best wishes, Heather
Does the black version get hot when in direct sun?
Hi Gina! That is a great question! The material will be warm on a hot summer day in direct sunlight, but will always be comfortable enough for you to use. We use UV inhibitors and stabilizers to ensure it never gets hot to the touch. The darker colors will absorb more heat than the lighter ones, but none will get hot enough to burn you or be uncomfortable enough to prevent use. So feel free to choose the color you want without concern! Thank you for asking! Sharon
Do the chairs/chase lounges stay cool to the touch in the hot sun?
Hi Nikki, That is a great question! We have designed and extruded the lumber we use with UV inhibitors and heat distributors to help them keep cool to the touch, even in very hot environments, no matter the color selected. A good rule of thumb is that if you can be outside comfortably and enjoy the day, your furniture will be comfortable to enjoy as well. If you are concerned, I would recommend keeping the furniture in a shaded or covered area, to help lessen the exposure to the sun. Thanks, Mindy
Is there a connecting table that works with the Nautical Adirondack? Or is there a tete-a-tete set? Thanks
Hello Donna, Great question! our 400 Series Angled Adirondack Connecting Table (TT400A) is designed to pair with our AD410 Nautical chairs. We do also have a PWS789-1 Nautical 3-Piece Adirondack Set with Angled Connecting Table. Thanks for reaching out, Heather
The nautical Adirondack chair is pictured with 5 boards on the back but the nautical Adirondack dining table set is shown with 6 boards. The south beach dining set is shown with 5 boards and the south beach Adirondack chair is shown with 6 boards. I want to make sure the ones I order match. Can you please explain why the same style (nautical) doesn't look the same?
Hello Joe, Great Questions, The Nautical Adirondack and the South Beach dining chair do not have curved backs so they have 5 wider slats. The Nautical dining chair and South Beach Adirondack have a curved back and will have 6 smaller slats to accommodate the curve. Best wishes, Heather
Is the vintage coffee color gray or brown?
Hi Anna! Thank you for asking! I would describe the Vintage Coffee as an off-black color. Being a shade or two lighter then Pitch Black, it does appear to have some brownish tones to it in certain light. If unsure, you can always order samples at this link https://www.polywood.com/polywood-lumber-sample-p12935.html so that you can get a better idea of the color before purchasing your furniture! Thank you for reaching out and have a great day! Sharon
Do they remain stable over time and does the hardware stay tight over time?
Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Our lumber is designed to hold up to everyday residential use for 20 years with a warranty to back it up. Our hardware does have a 5 year warranty of it's own. We stand behind our products and will be here if you ever need assistance. Thanks, Heather

Hello, Thank you for reaching out with your question! The shipping box dimensions are 33" in length, 23" in width and the height is 9". I hope this information has been helpful. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions. Take care, Heidi
