Why POLYWOOD?

We’re here to create beautiful outdoor spaces, the places you can go to unplug from screens or busy schedules and reconnect with nature and loved ones. Our materials and products are carefully considered and expertly engineered to do just that.

In a range of styles and fade-proof colors, our all-weather coffee tables make a great addition to your balcony, patio, deck, or porch. Made using sustainable materials, including landfill- and ocean-bound plastics, our innovative lumber offers durability that wood and resin simply cannot—and you can feel good knowing you're helping in the fight against plastic pollution.

"This was the first piece we purchased. Great size for our outdoor living space, great for New England weather. Highly recommend."

Coffee Table Colors

Color lets you express your creative vision, whether you prefer modern monotone stylings or more eclectic compositions. In tones ranging from light and bright to dark and dramatic, our color choices let your personal style shine. The vivid pigments are fully integrated into the lumber with Color-Stay Technology to keep the hues pristine, even after years of sun, rain, and use.

Coffee Table Features

Low Maintenance

We believe that outdoor furniture should bring joy, not become a weekend chore. Our durable tables can be quickly scrubbed down or sprayed off, freeing up your time to throw those parties and catch some rays (or a few z’s).

Weatherproof

Rain, wind, and sleet shouldn't get in the way of enjoying your outdoor furniture. Unlike wood, POLYWOOD products are innovatively engineered to withstand all four seasons without splintering, rotting, cracking, or chipping.

Sustainability

Sustainability has always been our second nature. To protect and preserve natural resources for future generations, our durable patio furniture is made from sustainable materials, including landfill- and ocean-bound plastics.

Coffee Table Heights

Coffee tables come in many heights but are typically between 12–24 inches tall. Because seating styles range from low-profile ottomans to taller sectionals and chairs, coffee table heights also vary greatly. So how do you choose to correct dimensions? It will ultimately depend on your sofa or seating arrangement.

First and foremost, you should be able to comfortably place and pick up objects while seated. As such, a standard practice is to have the tabletop 2 inches lower than the seat height. You’ll also want to consider if it will double as a footrest, board game surface, or some other purpose—and make sure it’s not too high or too low for use.

FAQs
How do I decorate an outdoor coffee table?
Like their indoor counterparts, outdoor patio coffee tables are like a blank canvas for decorative vignettes. Depending on the amount of sun and moisture exposure your space gets, you can display small potted plants and cast-iron objects or a tray with tea wares and fresh-cut florals. Discover more design-driven tips and inspiration on our blog post about how to style an outdoor coffee table.
How much is shipping?
When you place an order with us, ground shipping is always free within the 48 contiguous states. There's no minimum purchase required and never any strings attached.
Can I use an indoor coffee table outdoors?
Yes, but remember that indoor furniture is not specifically made to withstand damaging heat and moisture. Therefore, it will weather quickly in the elements. If you want to use an indoor coffee table outdoors, consider placing it somewhere relatively protected, such as a sunroom, covered patio, or screened-in porch.
What is the most durable material for outdoor furniture?
Thanks to its incredible durability and weather resistance, we are partial to high-density polyethylene for outdoor furniture. Wrought iron and hardwoods such as teak and acacia wood also make for beautiful outdoor furniture, but these materials require frequent maintenance to avoid or repair any damage.
Should you put a rug under an outdoor coffee table?
Placing a rug under an outdoor coffee table is a great way to add style and softness underfoot. It also helps define the seating area. Your best bet is to find an easy-care outdoor rug that you can spray off with the garden hose.
