Can you order six side chairs instead of four side and two captains (arm) chairs?

Hi Sharon, Thank you for your question! The dining chairs with arms weigh 22 lbs. each and the dining side chairs weigh 19 lbs each. We recommend adhesive chair glides on the chair feet. If you make a purchase being sent to Canada, you would pay shipping, which would include those duty fees. It would be a flat shipping fee, based on the items you are ordering. How do I remove the center hole cover so that I can place an umbrella in it? I tried using a hammer, as suggested in the manual, but that did not work.

What is the recommended minimum space for this set? What is posted is less than the recommendation for the Lakeside set, but the size of the furniture is fairly similar. What accounts for the difference? We have a smaller patio and want to be sure it will fit nicely.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us! For the La Casa Café 7-Piece Dining Set we recommend having at least 137" W X 102" D. The chairs in the Lakeside 7-Piece Farmhouse Dining Set are slightly larger all around, so we advise having a bit more room for that set at 154" W X 120" D. This just helps ensure you'll have plenty of room to slide the chairs out from the table when you're getting into and out of them. Have a great day! Candace

Is the table top one solid piece or are there slats that have openings between them? Also, what percentage of plastic is in the Polywood lumber?

Hello Jackie, Thank you for reaching out to us. The table top is one piece as a whole so full assembly of this will not be needed. These slats do have very small spaces between them. This allows liquids and whatnot to easily pass through the table while also allowing it to be easily cleaned when necessary. Our recycled content contains both post-consumer and post-industrial materials. Depending on the availability of post-consumer & post-industrial materials, as well as the specific color of the lumber percentages will vary. I can’t say exactly because this varies from board to board with the addition of resin to hold and solidify the boards together, but it’s not 100%. With that being said, there are no other natural additives or wood added to the makeup of the lumber. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Sam

Is the La Case series the narrowest of the Polywood rectangular dining sets? Which style would be best for an area that is 95 inches wide?

Hi Michael, Our narrowest rectangular tables are about 37" and that's what the table in this set measures. You could get two of our Nautical 31" Dining Table and put those together to make one larger table. Then the table would only be 31" wide and about 62" long. Does the black furniture get hot when in direct sunlight?

Hi Erin, That's a really good question! The darker the furniture color, the more heat it will absorb (like most things). As a general rule though, if you're comfortable sitting outside in full sun then the furniture won't be too hot for you to use. It will be warm, but not uncomfortably so. Thanks for asking!
