Coffee tables should stand between 15 and 18 inches tall, which typically sits at or a few inches below the height of your sofa's armrests. This keeps drinks and snacks within arm's reach. Side tables follow the same rule, standing level with or a little shorter than the arms of lounge chairs, so 16–18 inches.
No. Genuine POLYWOOD™ lumber is made with non-porous high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, which means wine, oils, and other liquids can't soak into it and leave stains.
Yes. Accent tables built from our HDPE lumber have enough heft to stay put even on the most blustery days.
No. Our durable tables have flat, level tops and are resistant to scratches, nicks, and dents.
Choose a table that measures roughly two-thirds the total length of your longest item, such as a sofa or sectional. This size is practical and proportionate: The table won't jut out past the seats' frames and block walking paths, nor will it look oddly oversized — or undersized — in comparison to the seating.
You typically need one accent table for every two chairs, but that can change depending on the size. A side table can hold the drinks of two people, while larger pieces like conversation tables can accommodate four to five. If you have four Adirondack chairs, choose two side tables or one conversation table. Position the former between a pair of Adirondacks, and group the chairs around the latter.
