We offer free ground shipping within the contiguous United States on every order and will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method possible.
Lead Times
Most of our products are made to order. Your order may arrive in multiple shipments. Once part or all of your order is en route, we’ll email you with that shipment’s tracking information. If your order contains mixed lead time items, the lead time of your order will match the longest lead time of any item on the order. For example, an order containing mixed lead time items may take up to 20 business days to ship, while an order only containing Quick Ship items will ship within 5 business days.
Please note that orders placed after 3pm ET may not be received until the following business day.
Please also note that when paying by check/money order, stated lead times will only take effect once your check has been received and clears processing.
Stated lead times will not apply to orders containing single item quantities of 50 or greater. Please contact us to confirm lead times before placing an order containing single item quantities of 50 or greater.
Expected Delivery Dates
All products are shipped from our manufacturing and distribution centers in Syracuse, Indiana, and Roxboro, North Carolina. Please make sure to take transit time to your location into account when ordering. Standard transit times within the U.S. can vary from a day to a week, depending on the destination and weather conditions. Whenever possible we will ship via FedEx. Larger items and high volume orders will be shipped LTL.

If you need delivery by a certain date, or you need delayed shipment to a certain date, please contact us before placing your order.
Shipment Notifications
When your order ships, we will notify you via email. Included in your email will be a tracking number for your shipment. We encourage you to track your package online or over the phone with the carrier.
The shipping carrier will typically contact you with a delivery date. Standard delivery includes bringing the furniture to your home address. It does not include specific placement or removal of the packaging, including pallets. Please make sure that you inspect the package(s) at the time of delivery. If the shipment appears to be damaged, or if there is any reason you are concerned with the packaging, please note this clearly when signing for the delivery.
Freight Shipment and Delivery
If your order will be sent to you via freight, here are some things you should know:
- Please allow 2–4 business days for tracking to update on the carrier’s site.
- All freight orders are delivered curbside.
- Removal of packaging or pallets is not included.
- Carriers will typically contact you beforehand with a delivery date. You may be responsible for holding fees by the carrier if delivery is not arranged within a reasonable time (per carrier’s discretion).
- We recommend someone be present when your order is delivered by the carrier to sign the Proof of Delivery (POD).
- Before signing the POD, check your order to make sure you received the correct items and that nothing is damaged. If not please contact us within 30 days of delivery.
- If you have specific delivery instructions, we recommend creating an account with FedEx and UPS to manage your deliveries. You can note specific drop-off locations such as next to your garage, or add an access code. Please note this is at the driver’s discretion and you may be responsible for any fees issued by the carrier for this extra service.
Nonstandard Shipments
For orders shipping to an address outside of the contiguous United States, please contact us for a custom quote. In order to obtain your quote, we will need your delivery address and a list of the items you intend to purchase. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
Change of Address
Before Shipment: Due to tax calculation rules and fraud prevention, we're unable to update the shipping address for an order you already placed. If your order hasn’t shipped, contact our Customer Experience Team to cancel and re-order with the correct address. Please reach out to us via Chat for support.
After Shipment: Once shipped, your order's delivery address cannot be changed. If the original address is invalid or you don't want your order delivered there, contact us to see if we can reroute the shipment back to our facility.
NOTE: New orders will follow current lead times and pricing.

Permanent structures may require a building permit. As the purchaser and/or installer of this product you are advised to consult local planning, zoning, and building inspection departments for guidance on applicable building codes and/or zoning requirements.
POLYWOOD pergolas are backed by our 20-year lumber warranty.
Swings must be hung exclusively from the leg joists, which have a 400 lb. weight limit per mounting hook, covering the weight capacity of most porch swings plus its own weight. We recommend a maximum of 30 lbs. per cross beam for hanging additional accessories.
Yes! Accessories with a maximum weight of 30 lbs. can be installed to the cross breams using standard decking hardware at least 1/2" away from any lumber edge. Meeting these requirements will not void the lumber component warranty. Please refer to the installation instructions for more information.
Orders can be cancelled up until the time of shipment. After shipment, the customer is responsible for any freight expenses incurred. We accept returns on pergolas, unassembled and in the original packaging. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee.
Like all POLYWOOD products, pergolas are made to order. Our production lead time is 2–4 weeks.
Please consult the specific user manual for your grill, fire pit, or chiminea to ensure flames will remain at a safe distance from any combustible materials, including POLYWOOD lumber.
Step 1: Initial delivery. Your pergola is placed in the location of your choosing, but not assembled. You must schedule a separate appointment for assembly and installation with our White Glove Delivery partner.
Step 2: Assembly and installation. Prepare your site. If it’s not ready, your pergola will not be installed and you will have to reschedule your appointment.
How to prepare a site for pergola installation:
- Secure any required permits and permissions.
- Ensure the area is flat and level.
- Remove any furniture, plants, decor, and other obstacles.
- Mark the exact location of the pergola with tape or chalk.
- Have a solid base ready, e.g., concrete, pavers, pylons, or footings.
- Ensure the space is accessible for our White Glove Delivery partner.
- Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
