About the Space

Camp Caswell sits on a quiet lake in Maine, shrouded by soaring evergreens. The property, consisting of a rustic cabin and boathouse, has been in Meg’s family since 1906. Given as a wedding gift to her great-great-grandparents and then passed down through the generations, it has provided over 100 years of memories.

Long-Lasting Furniture for Families

Meg’s goal was to revitalize every outdoor area, so her family could continue to enjoy the camp to the fullest.

The outdoor furnishings collected over the years were outdated, mismatched, and couldn’t stand up to the harsh Maine climate. She turned to POLYWOOD for durable, stylish furniture that would keep her family comfortable for years.

Exterior Dining Area

The camp’s wooded location lends to an earthy color palette, and Meg chose deep green dining furniture to blend with the natural surroundings.

Long rectangular tables with backless benches and Braxton dining chairs crown the suppertime spaces beneath the trees, providing plenty of elbow room at every meal.

To encourage loved ones to linger longer, Meg paired Nautical bar chairs with a convenient connecting table, styling the set nearby where family can chat over nightcaps or next morning’s coffee.

Beach & Porch

Lake views are best enjoyed in complete comfort. Meg selected our Coastal Chaises with Wheels and Nautical Adirondack Rocking Chairs — which gave her family the choice to lie or sway by the water — in sandy and navy blue shades.

Three-Season Room

This screened-in space is for family meals, game nights, and afternoon naps.

Meg solved for all of the above and maintained style continuity with her other exterior spaces. She used the same dining set found in the wooded area, opting for a lighter, more neutral color. A deep seating set from our EDGE Collection brings color and contrast to the adjoining lounge area while staying true to her nature-inspired palette.

Our low-maintenance lumber simplifies post-meal cleanup, and the deep seating’s performance fabric holds up to snack crumbs and any after-dinner wine spills.

Docks

Two long, wooden docks reach out into the water, where Meg and her family get 360-degree views of gorgeous scenery.

Taking advantage of the prime location, Meg filled the space with laid-back lounge chairs from our South Beach Collection and complementing accent tables that keep drinks and light bites conveniently close.

Unlike the other spaces protected by trees and screens, this area is fully exposed to the elements. However, Meg isn’t worried. She knows Genuine POLYWOOD™ lumber will endure through the seasons, easily resisting sun damage, heavy winds, and rainy days.
