Comfortable and Cozy Camping on a Relaxing Maine Lakeshore
Meg Caswell, a nationally recognized interior designer, has partnered with POLYWOOD to ensure that the memories she and her family make at their scenic lakeside camp in Maine last a lifetime.
About The Space
A rustic cabin and boathouse are nestled into a copse of soaring pine trees on a quiet lake in Maine. This camp, located in the Belgrade Lakes region, was given to Meg’s great-great-grandparents as a wedding gift in 1906. It has been passed down through the family, being enjoyed by each generation as a spot to relax and reconnect.

Long-Lasting Furniture for Families
It’s Meg’s goal to revitalize the outdoor area so her family can continue to enjoy the camp and use the outdoor space to its fullest potential. The outdoor furniture that had been collected over the years was outdated, mismatched, and couldn’t stand up to the harsh Maine weather. She turned to POLYWOOD to help her fill the outdoor space with durable outdoor furniture that would stand up to rough weather and provide style and comfort for her family year after year.
Take A Look Around
Meg chose Farmhouse 37” x 72” Dining Tables and surrounded them with coordinating Rustic Farmhouse 60” Backless Benches and Braxton Dining Arm Chairs in Green to create spacious dining sets for her outdoor dining area between the cabin and the boathouse as well as the tent platform. The tent platform also has the addition of Nautical Curveback Adirondack Bar Chairs that are conveniently connected by a 600 Series Angled Adirondack Dining Connecting Table. Many family meals can be enjoyed on these low-maintenance sets, which means more time can be spent relaxing and less time spent on cleanup.

Adirondack Rockers in Navy were the chosen seating options for Meg’s front porch with complementing South Beach 18" Side Tables in Sand. On the sandy beach in front of the cabin and boathouse, Meg wanted to enhance the already relaxing atmosphere. She picked Coastal Chaises with Wheels with Sand frames and Navy Blue sling fabric along with complementing South Beach 18" Side Tables in Sand. The genuine POLYWOOD lumber colors really bring out the earth tones throughout the space. Here, she and her family can watch the sunset over the lake in complete comfort.

Family meals, game night, naps on a lazy afternoon, and other activities take place on the screened-in porch. For the dining portion Meg decided to use a Farmhouse 37” x 72” Dining Table, Rustic Farmhouse 60” Backless Benches, and Braxton Dining Arm Chairs in Sand, fitting the theme of her other dining spaces.
For the sitting area, Meg chose deep seating modular chairs, ottomans, and a coordinating coffee table from the EDGE Collection to fill the space next to the dining area. The color combination that Meg chose was Vintage Sahara lumber and Ocean Teal cushions, which complemented the light Sand color of the dining set.

Both the boathouse and the cabin have their own docks where the family can host happy hours, fish, and other fun activities. For the boathouse dock, Meg chose Nautical Curveback Adirondack Swivel Dining Chairs and a couple of South Beach 18” Side Tables in Sand. The chairs have the Adirondack seat, but they sit upright. This feature and the swivel base make getting in and out of the chairs easy.
For pops of color around the property, Meg added Traditional Garden 16” Planters in Sand that she can fill with flowers and other decorations as the seasons change.
