I know the "wood" is weather resistant but what about the glider mechanism? If I purchase this it would be for an open terrace in the middle of my backyard.

Where can I buy replacement hardware for my glider? The metal pieces on one side of the glider that hooks the glider to the frame keep coming off. They fell off during a move and I can not get them back on… so maybe they are stripped?

Hello Mary, Thanks for reaching out to POLYWOOD. We would sell replacement hardware if you needed a screw, but if I am understanding you correctly, it is the large metal pieces on the Glider frame. In that case, you would have to purchase the full glider base for the side that was damaged in your move. I'm afraid there are certain pieces that we don't sell separately, as we want to make sure they are assembled the proper way. That means sometimes you have to purchase a larger part to get the small piece you need. You can call 855-935-5550 and the Customer Experience Team can make sure they look up the correct piece, and then take payment and order that for you. Thanks, Mindy

We have found that stainless steel is the only metal that really holds up to our humid Florida weather. We’d be interested to know if you provide stainless steel screws for assembly, and also what kind of metal is used for the bar that makes the bench swing?

This helps prevent degradation from the elements, but rinsing your furniture periodically will help maximize the longevity in a salt air environment. how difficult is the glider to assemble?

Hello! There is some assembly required with the Chippendale Glider. We send the parts in larger assemblies so there is less time putting the furniture together and more time enjoying it. Most of our items take less than 30 minutes to assemble and include the hardware, tools, and assembly instructions.
