I just received this set and there is an umbrella hole covered in packing tape. I was under the impression that there was a pop -out insert that could be used when an umbrella is not needed. I saw information about how to tap it out and preferred to have the option. If the mandate hole something new? Are there any options to get a plug to fill?

I am interested in the white, Chippingdale 48 " 5 piece table and chair set. I noticed that the black set has a table top that has a flat border around the outside edge. The other sets have the single boards all the way across without the outside flat border. Can I get the white table with the outside border?

Do the chairs stick out far from the table?

Hi there, That is a great question. The chairs do not stick out very far from the table. The arms of the chairs fit under the table top, so it is able to placed well underneath the table when not being used. Does this table come with an umbrella hole?

Hi DB, Thanks for asking! You can use a rubber mallet (or very gently use a regular hammer) to tap the umbrella hole plug up from the underside of the table top toward the surface. Once you've removed it a few times, it should start to loosen slightly. All the best, Candace
