some missing parts and difficulties with measurements

"Poor quality control: 2 large screws were missing from the shipment and 2 holes were undrilled. Difficulty finding ready-made seat cushions for the 18 x 21 inc. chairs and the 18 x 43 inc. Glider."

Chippendale Garden Armchair

"We bought 2 of thse in Mahogany and we love them! Easy to put together (a 2 person job) and much more comfortable than expected. We bought the cushions, but they are comfortable with or without them."

Robin M. (5/5)

Great Chair

"This chair was an addition to our back deck where we already have a full Polywood dining set. The color matched the other set we bought 4 years ago and the quality was what we've known to expect from Polywood."

Love my Polywood Furniture

"Just had a barbecue with intermittent rain, great to have furniture you can just wipe down with no water being absorbed."

Donald P. (5/5)

Imperfect assembly

"Power tools used in assembly drove screws to far and left rough openings. Not the expected white glove work."

Q&A

Do you have a cushion that fits the chippendale garden chair?
Hello Daniel, Great question! We would recommend the Seat Cushion - 18.5"D x 21"W x 2.5"H (SKU: XPWS0011) to pair with the Chippendale Garden Arm Chair. Here is the URL for the cushion on the POLYWOOD website: https://www.polywood.com/products/seat-cushion-18-5-d-x-21-w-x-2-5-h-xpws0011. Thanks for asking! Best, Emma
How much weight can it hold?
Hello Charyn, All of our furniture is tested using ATSM standards. This chair has been tested to hold up to 400 pounds. Thanks, Mindy
How comfortable is it? I see it has a fairly straight up back (which I like) On a scale of 0-10 (10 =very comfortable) how do YOU rate this chair for a long evening of porch sitting? I understand everyone's tolerance is different. THX!
Hi Lisa, We've had multiple customers tell us that this chair is very comfortable, and I find it to be so as well. I personally think seat cushions would be beneficial if you plan to sit in this chair for hours on end. I have the one that will fit this chair attached below (it's currently out of stock but it will be back in stock soon — just an FYI). Thanks! Cait
What is the height of the armrests?
Hi Katie, Good question, the Chippendale Garden Arm Chair armrest have a height of 24.5" — thanks for asking! Kaylan
Weight limit?
Hello, This chair has been rated for use up to 400 pounds. Thanks for the great question! Ashley
Is the back of the chair straight up and down or is there a slight slant?
Hello, There is a slight recline to this chair. Thanks for reaching out with your question! Ashley
Do darker color, slate grey, retain heat? Is slate grey color closer to black or is it really dark grey?
Hello Kim, Great question! As a general rule, our darker colors will retain a little more heat. However, all of our lumber is produced with UV-inhibiting Colorstay technology, which ultimately keeps it from retaining the heat of a lot of other materials. I would compare it to a painted wood in its heat retention, so it definitely wouldn't be anything dangerous. I hope this helps! Thanks again for reaching out, Bryce
