Reviews

The glider seat was very

"The glider seat was very high. With the cushion on my feet did not touch the floor. I am 5’ 7”. My husband cut the legs down about 3/4 of an inch. It helped some. What’s the point of a glider if you can’t touch the floor?"

The glider is a wonderful

"The glider is a wonderful addition to our patio. The guidance that the glider needs 2-3 feet of space in front and behind was absurd since the glider does not move that much. Also, the two seater has a 250 pound weight limit, which seems silly for a two seat glider. It’s likely due to stainless screws-but again caused us to wait to purchase. I think Polywood offers a terrific product, but the online purchase and above concerns made the purchase harder to make."

So far so good

"The assembly instructions were easy to follow. It's together and in my yard. Hopefully it holds up."

Still Waiting

"I would love to be able to review this item. I have paid for white-glove delivery of 10 chairs, a dining table, 2 side tables and this glider, but have yet to see the items as the delivery keeps getting postponed. It has taken much longer than promised to receive these items. I hope the wait is worth it."

Gliding into Summer

"Our Adirondack Glider was a perfect addition to our Polywood chairs and table on our deck. Such a comfortable way to enjoy bird watching, relaxing, or just enjoying the outdoors."

I am glad I bought this!

"Didn’t take long for it to show up on my front doorstep! Good quality! Assembly instructions were easy to follow! Also included the tools with the hardware you need so I didn’t have to drag my tool box out! Has a nice smooth glide to it! All I need now is a cushion, would recommend buying one when you purchase your bench! Ha Ha!"

Q&A

Why do the gliders show only limited colors (no blues)?
Hello Kenneth, Thank you for your question and your interest in our products! At POLYWOOD, we aim to offer a wide variety of products and colors, but not every item is available in every color and finish. Factors like materials, production processes, and color availability can limit certain options. We're always working to expand our offerings, and we truly appreciate your feedback! Thank you, Emma
How come the warranty on your gliders is 5 years but for all my Polywood furniture I have it’s 10 years
Hi Sheila, thank you for your question! POLYWOOD'S Residential warranty is for 20 years on the lumber and 5 years for hardware and metal frames. We have not previously warranted hardware for any other amount of time than 5 years. Feel free to click the link to our Residential Warranty Policy for additional details. Thanks, Lana
do you have replacement hardware
Hi Ron, Thank you for your question! Yes, we have replacement hardware. Please visit our Help Center for assistance in getting the parts you need. Thanks! Lana
I'm assuming the Adirondack Glider ships in a flat pack for assembly by the owner. I found in the specs that it weighs 78 lbs. Can you tell me the dimensions of the flat pack?
Hello Barbara, Yes, assembly will be required. You can find the full assembly instructions on the product page, by scrolling down past the Product Details and clicking on Assembly Information. This glider will ship in 1 box that weighs 81 pounds. It will be 41" L x 31" W x 9" H. Thanks for asking, Mindy
What seat cushion fits the classic Adirondack 48" glider?
Hello Tess, thank you for your question. The seat cushion that fits the item is linked below. https://www.polywood.com/seat-cushion-17-d-x-40-5-w-x-2-5-h-xpws0019.html I hope this information helps. Thank you again for your question. Thank you
do the gliders fold up even the 2 seaters?
Hello Karen, Thank you for your interest in our Gliders. At this time our gliders do not have a folding function. I will however pass this feedback along as a potential feature to look into in the future. Thanks -Jason
The chairs have the option of navy as a color choice. Can any of the gliders be made using navy or lime as the color?
Hello Deb, Navy is a select availability color, as is the vibrant lime. I apologize, but we can only make items in the colors listed where you can make your POLYWOOD color selections. Thanks for asking, Mindy
Do they stay up right in high winds? Do they have a wind rating of any sort? Our campground is on a river and we experience high winds at times. 20-30 Mph.
Hi Johnathan, Our chairs are built to withstand the elements and are quite sturdy. The Classic Adirondack 48" Glider itself weighs 78lbs, so it is not light by any means and should be okay, but I might recommend placing it in a location that has some of that wind being blocked, just to be safe. Thanks for asking, Michelle
Love my bench! Is there a preferred method of locking the glider in place so it doesn’t swing when it’s windy outside?
Hello Mario, I apologize, but there is no way to lock the glider. If you are worried about high winds making the glider move, I would suggest trying to turn the glider, so that it is not in the line of the wind, or setting something in front of it, that will hold it in place while the adverse weather is upon you. You could also store it away when not in use, or when you know this weather will be coming. Thanks, Mindy
Is it possible to special order a 48” glider in tangerine color?
Hello Ken, I apologize, but we do not allow special orders. I'm afraid the glider, or any of our products, are only available in the colors listed on that product page. Thanks for asking, Mindy
Hi! We just got ours and assembled it. I really like it but I’m wondering if it’s supposed to be a bit wobbly? There’s some side to side movement that makes it feel not super solid. Everything is exactly right so I think that’s part of the design but I’d like to know.
Hello Ursula, I am so glad you really like your new glider. Yes there will be some side to side movement due to the design of the glider although it should be minimal. This will not effect it's use or warranty. Thanks for reaching out, Heather
What is “marine grade hardware”? Being next to the ocean, salt is very damaging to all metals
Hi Rich, All POLYWOOD hardware is 18-8 stainless steel with an AlloChrome 3200+™ finish and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of our hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, it can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments. Below are a few tips to help keep your hardware looking great: 1. Mix mild dish soap and warm water in a bucket. 2. Apply soap mixture to hardware with a soft bristle brush, scrubbing the corroding areas of the hardware. 3. Rinse thoroughly. Salt-Air Tips Mother nature can be brutal. If you're looking to go the extra mile to protect hardware with signs of corrosion, you can apply a color-appropriate appliance touch up paint (available at your local hardware store). Thanks, Mindy
What is the weight capacity on your gliders?
Hello Valerie, Thank you for reaching out about our Classic Adirondack 48" Glider. This bench like each of our products is run through a variety of tests to comply with ASTM standards. POLYWOOD chairs are weight tested up to 400lbs, although many products can withstand much more. This means for a two person bench the weight capacity would be 800lbs. Best wishes, Heather
How wide are the arms on the adirondak glider?
Hi there Richard! What a great question! The arm of this glider is 4.5" wide. All the best, Kaitlyn
does the material it is made out of stay cool to sit on when out in the sun?
Hi there Great question! The darker colors will absorb more heat than the lighter colors will, but our general rule of thumb is that if it's nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the day, the furniture should be fine to use. Thanks for asking! Kaylan
If I ordered this glider today, how long would it be until I received it in Alexandria, VA (22308)? Thank you.
Hi Tamara, Great question! Over the past 3 months, we have experienced an overwhelming increase in demand, causing extended production and shipping lead times. All of our products are built-to-order in the USA, and we're working hard to build and ship orders as quickly as possible. Our current lead times for new orders are 8 weeks. Once the item does ship, it could take 2-3 days for you to receive it. Thanks for asking! Kaylan
Best way to clean my plywood furniture?
Hi Maureen, Your new Polywood furniture can be cleaned with a mild soap and water, with a soft brush. Thanks! Karen
Hi there, how much clearance does the glider require for the gliding motion?
Hi Kate, The motion of the glider is very small. 6" of clearance in front and behind should be plenty! Thanks for the great question. Karen
Is the hardware guaranteed?
HARDWARE Hardware used in production or assembly of POLYWOOD furniture is warranted to not break for five (5) years of residential use. thank you for asking! Karen
Im debating on the Classic Adirondack glider swing or the Traditional Garden 48”. I’m 5 feet and wondering which would be more comfortable or would they be the same? Any help would be great. Thank you.
The Traditional Garden Glider is a bit deeper, so I vote for the Adirondack Glider. The Traditional Glider has a seat that is 17" tall x 18" deep and the Adirondack Glider seat is 17.5" tall x 16.5" deep. However, I am height challenged myself and find them both really comfortable! thanks for asking! Karen
