Is it possible to order a sample of the poly wood so that we can verify color?

We want to make this a memorial bench by adding a plaque. Will I be able to use screws to attach a stainless steel plaque to the slats on the back? On this 60" Country Living Garden Bench, how far apart are the slats in the back so we can make sure the screw holes are the right distance apart? Thanks!

Hello, We would recommend wood/deck screws that are stainless steel; chrome-coated would be the best option, if available. We would not recommend any sort of glue, as it will not adhere to the poly lumber that our furniture is made of. It is likely that 1/4" screws will be what is needed, however, we can certainly give a better recommendation based on what you are attaching and where. The information for this item, The Country Living 60" Bench" states it is weight tested at 250 pounds per seat. A 60" bench could hold 2 adults and a child. Even 2 average adults would likely exceed 250 pounds. Is the weight information for the bench, or is it for 1 "seat" on the bench which is designed for more than one person? Thank you!

Hello Teri, Thanks for asking. I apologize if that wasn't made more clear. When it says per seat, that means per sitting area. This bench is made to have 3 seats, or hold 3 adults.  Each seat can hold up to 250 pounds, with a total, spread across the entire bench, of 750 pounds. I hope this helps, Mindy

I'm looking at this bench or the Maureen bench or both of the box completely straight or are they angled? I'm putting this up against my siding on my porch and I need the back to be as straight as can be.

Hello, I apologize, I'm not sure what the Maureen bench is, but I can link all the benches we have below. All of our benches have at least a small tilt to the back assembly, in order to make them more comfortable. Would the bench be comfortable to lay on if you had cushions on it?

Hello Robin, Our benches are built and designed with the idea of customers sitting on the furniture, not laying on it. I think cushions certainly add to the comfort of any piece of furniture, but I can't guarantee that it would be comfortable to lay on.
