The table comes as advertised.

"The table comes as advertised. Very easy to assemble. Some predrilled holes did not line up but I was able to work around them. Other than that we are very happy with our purchase. I love the fact that I can leave it outdoors all year round and not worry about it rusting or rotting."

Great table assembly changes

"Table will last for years. However, it is not 100 percent level one of the legs is a bit shorter than others and there is no way to adjust. Material is great. Assembly is a lot more steps than last one I purchased several years ago."

Q&A

are the cross brace bars under the table made out of polywood or metal? if they are polywood, where is the metal underneath for support? will it rust with time? Thank you
Hi Linda, Great question! We do have metal cross braces under our table tops. POLYWOOD furniture hardware, like screws, nuts, bolts, and other fasteners, is carefully made using marine-grade 18-8 stainless steel. We've even added an AlloChrome 3200+™ finish and cosmetic coating to ensure they stand up to the coastal conditions beautifully. Thanks! Lana
What I want is Nautical Dining Table with 4 chairs in white found on Wayfair SKU PO3032 29" H x 42.5" L x 42.5" W $599.00
Hello Edna, thank you for your question. We have the same style on our site. However, I would recommend purchasing through Wayfair as they have a great deal currently on that set. The Nautical Folding Lowback Chairs 5-Piece Dining Set is $1,549.00 on our site. I hope this information helps. Thank you.
What size umbrella is best for this table?
Hello Linda, The 9' Tilt Market Umbrella & Base on our website would work great with this table! I have provided a link below, so that you can make your color choices and add to your cart. https://www.polywood.com/9-tilt-market-umbrella-base-pwumb.html Thanks, Mindy
I have some kind of animal gnawing at my table. Do you have any suggestions on how to combat this
Hello Linda, Thank you for reaching out to us about our products. With animals, we recommend using peppermint oil or chili spray to help deter them from potentially chewing on it. Thanks -Jason
Re: attachment of legs to table top. In another question you answer that legs are attached through a metal brace. Is this accurate where the legs attach to the table, i.e. the 2.5" screws that attach the legs to the table, as well as where footing attaches to the legs. Since there is no horizontal bracing between the legs, I am concerned about future wobble at this attachment point
Hi Bill, Thanks for reaching out. This table should have metal bracing on the underside of the table. We do extensive testing and the table should not have any issues with being wobbly, especially if put on a level surface. Our products do have an industry leading 20 year residential warranty. If you do happen to have issues in the future, please reach out to customer service with your order number and pictures, so we can work to find the issue and get it resolved as quickly as possible, Thanks, Mindy
I like the Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table, If I bought 2, can the be put end to end to make one long table?
Hey Mike, That is a good question. With the Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table you certainly can line them up end to end to make one long table. Thanks -Jason
What is the thickness of the table/ distance from under the table to the floor? I am not sure my armchairs will fit under it.
Hello Nik, the distance from the floor to the lip of the underside of the table is 25 7/8 inches. ![](https://polywoodinc.zendesk.com/attachments/token/MEysk5P3qA95l6InAv5rGGc99/?name=image.png) I hope this helps, Mindy
Do the Nautical and Farmhouse tables use the same fastener systems for assembly? How tolerant are they of disassembly and reassembly without stripping the screws or screw holes? I love the durability promised by these tables but I expect to move in the next few years and want to be sure the table can survive the moving process.
Hello Nik, I appreciate you interest in our NCT3772 Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table and our FDT3772 Farmhouse 37" x 72" Dining Table. Both of these table's legs do attach the same way using a 2.5" screw. They do screw together through a metal brace so they would hold up well if they needed to be disassembled for your move. Thanks, Heather
I am looking for a long table that seats 8. Will this table seat 8 comfortably?
Hello Yolanda, That is a great question! The Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table could technically fit 8 seats, but your guests would not be very comfortable. We do have several 9 piece sets, that would accommodate 8 guests. If you are looking for the rectangular table, I would suggest the Lakeside 9-Piece Dining Set or the Vineyard 9-Piece Dining Set. They come with different chairs, so you would have to decide which you prefer. If you like a square table, we have options for that as well. The Chippendale 9-Piece Nautical Trestle Dining Set is a nice option. I have included a link to all of the 9 piece dining sets that POLYWOOD currently has. Happy shopping! https://www.polywood.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=9%20piece%20sets I hope this helps, Mindy
What is the difference(s) between this and the Lakeside Farmhouse 37" x 72" Dining Table? Is it only the round edges vs square?
Hi Dan! Great question! The main differences between the Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table and the Farmhouse 37" x 72" Dining Table are the table tops. ![](https://polywoodinc.zendesk.com/attachments/token/TZ6nqc4JLX2CViTuBVCgA2m3p/?name=image.png) ![](https://polywoodinc.zendesk.com/attachments/token/GO8TPmHmTkTT5uS2In8WN75lB/?name=image.png) There are a few other differences like the feet design and weight, but the most noticeable difference is in the construction of the table top. Please let us know if you have any other questions! Sharon
Is there a backless bench you'd recommend go with this table?
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us! The longest backless bench we have is the Park 72" Harvester Backless Bench. The feet on the bench are similar to the feet on the table, so the style would be a great match too! I've attached it for you so you can see what you think. All the best, Candace
How do you remove the knockout for an umbrella in the table ?
Hi Steve, Thanks for reaching out to us! You can use a rubber mallet (or a regular hammer if you're careful) to gently tap on the underside of the umbrella hole plug to push it up through the surface of the table top. Once you've removed it a few times, it should loosen up a bit and move more easily for you. Have a great day! Candace
Would the Vineyard garden arm chairs fit the Nautical 37X72 dining table? Is there a difference between the nautical dining and the nautical trestle other than one inch? Why is there such a price difference in the Vineyard side chairs vs. the Vineyard garden arm chair?
Hello Victoria! Thank you so much for taking the time to ask this great question! The Vineyard Garden Chairs would pair nicely with the Nautical Dining tables. All of our product pricing is considered based on how much lumber is used, as well as the time that it takes to create the piece of furniture. Thanks again! Jillian
does this table come in 42 inch height?
Hi Lorrie, Thanks for reaching out to us. We do have this style of table at a bar height which does happen to be a height of 42". The link to this table is provided below. I hope this helps! https://www.polywood.com/37-x-72-bar-table.html Kind regards, Sam
What is the max weight capacity of this table?
Hi Tatiana, That's a great question; thanks for asking! The Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table has been tested to bear a static load up to 225 lbs. Have a great day! Candace
Does the Nautical trestle table vs. Nautical dining table have any more leg room? Also, what is the minimum width on a deck if either table is paired with 6 palm coast chairs.
Hi Debra, The Nautical Trestle Table in the link below will have a bit more leg room. The recommended space is for either set. Recommended Minimum Space142" W x 39.5" H x 109" D Thanks for asking! Karen
Do you know if 6 of the Vineyard Garden arm chairs will fit this table? Be able to eat comfortably? Thank you!
Hello Leslie, This is a great question! If it is the Vineyard Arm Chairs that you are referring to, then yes, 6 should fit comfortably around this Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table. However, we would normally recommend our Vineyard Dining Arm Chair (link below) as a chair to suit dining better. It has a taller, more angular back and a slightly narrower width of almost an inch, so there would be more room and a little more ability to recline for your diner's! I hope this helps you! Oli
How much space is there between the legs for an umbrella stand?
Hello! The space between the two leg assemblies is a distance of 18". This should be plenty of room for an umbrella base. Thanks for reaching out! Oli
how much room is there between the legs for an umbrella stand?
Hello! The space between the legs of this Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table to fit an umbrella stand, is a distance of 18". Thanks for your great question! Oli
Is the table strong enough for two people to sit on it? We are looking for a piece of furniture that can double as a table and a day bed on our balcony. Is this the closest thing you have to that?
Hello, Unfortunately our tables have not been tested for weight limits at this time. We recommend that they are used for dining purposes. Thanks for taking the time to ask your question! Rolando
