Love the look of this set but are the chairs comfortable for sitting for awhile?

We have the Nautical 5-piece dining set and the 3-piece chaise lounge set on our condominium patio. The complex recently refinished all patio floors and they are now recommending that all patio furniture add pads so the furniture will not rip the new flooring when moved. Do you carry these pads? If not, can you share the dimensions of all of the feet for these two sets? Thank you for your kind attention.

We do not offer any chair glides as an accessory, but we recommend using adhesive felt chair glides that can be found at hardware stores or on websites like amazon.com. These adhesive felt glides are typically 1 or 2 inches in diameter and if needed, you can adhere multiple glides to a foot to keep if from scratching any flooring surface. Thanks, Lana

Does black get very hot in the summer?

WE sat in a couple of Polywood Counter Height chairs, with arms, at a hotel in Wrightsville Beach, NC a few months ago and the chairs seemed narrow! I weigh 105 lbs and was uncomfortable and my husband who weighs less than 150lbs also felt confined as well. Are the Nautical chairs wider?

Hello Robin, The dining height chairs included in this set have a seat that is 17.5 inches wide. We have a large variety of counter height chairs, and without knowing which ones you sat in, I wouldn't be able to tell you if the Nautical chairs are wider I'm afraid. How is the depth of the chairs measured? Is the depth measured from the front legs to the back legs? Do the back legs extend beyond the back of the chairs when they are in an upright position? I need to know the maximum depth. Thanks.

Hello Dee, That is a good question. The chairs depth in the Nautical Folding Chair 5-Piece Round Farmhouse Dining Set is measured from front of the seat to the back of the back leg and is 25.275 inches. The back legs do extend beyond the back , but only by an inch or so. Thanks -Jason

I like the fact that these chairs will fold BUT I am concerned about the reviews stating that the chairs will not stay locked into place. Is THAT truly an issue?

Hi Robin! I am so glad you asked! To keep the chairs sturdy and to ensure the chair does not collapse upon getting up, the chair "locks" into place when pushing the front of the arm rests down. To unlock, simply pull the front of the arm rest up. It is easiest to stand behind the chair and lift the front of the arm rests towards you. It is natural to try to fold the chair from the side by holding the seat and back like a standard metal folding chair. However, these will require the safety feature to be unlocked. This feature allows you to have a folding chair for convenience of storage, but with the sturdy feeling of a dining chair. Once you remember to unlock the chair by the arms and not the seat, folding becomes natural and easy. If you have any questions at all, we are always here to help! Sharon

How does the recline lock? When in any of the upright positions, the chair slips back when putting weight on the back of it.

How does the chair recline? Do you have to remove a bolt to change the reclining position?

Hi there, That's a very good question; thanks for asking! It's pretty simple to adjust the reclining position for the chairs. You don't even need to remove any bolt or pin! Instead, you just lift up on the front of the armrest (where your hands would rest) and lean back to the desired position, then push the armrest down to lock the chair in place. Likewise, if you want to sit up more, you lift up on the armrests and pull them forward then push them down to lock the backrest in place. I hope this helps! Candace
