Reviews

I had before this table

"I had before this table the Trex/Polywood "Surf City" table for 10 years till it started fading. Even tried to sand it, I liked that table so much. It still looked very faded, but lasted a long time in the sun. I got this because the brown Polywood would match the benches and chairs from the set. It matches, but the table itself is way too thick and heavy and cheaply made at the leg connections. I wanted to get a Polywood table with aluminum legs but your metal legs only come in white or black, not silver to match. I would not buy this again."

We have purchased your products

"We have purchased your products previously and once again we couldn’t be happier with our purchase. The products are built to last a lifetime. Very impressive. Easy to assemble."

Consistent & Quality

"The table is lovely, as expected. We have a number of Polywood pieces and they are high quality and wear beautifully."

Yvette J. (5/5)

Great Yable

"Great table, very solid. Packaging was excellent and delivery was smooth and easy."

Peter K. (5/5)

Great so far

"Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Bought after seeing how well our neighbor’s furniture has held up for many years against extreme weather and salt exposure. The only downside is the bottom of table legs and chair legs having sharp edges and no bottom padding. the furniture created large scratches in our composite decking. Had to get furniture pads to put on the bottom."

Great Quality, Perfect fit

"Always love Polywood’s quality which we selected for our deck furniture in NH. It will stand up to the bitter cold and harsh winters. The sling chairs are very comfortable and the love seat cushions are nice and thick. Highly recommend!"

Misaligned legs and screws

"After patiently waiting for our table and being so excited to start the summer season with it, it arrived with the defect we were most fearful of - there is absolutely no way to attach the legs to the table top, as the holes are grossly misaligned. There’s no way to fix on our own. We are so disappointed. We submitted an RMA two weeks ago and haven’t heard a word from customer service - huge bummer, and we now have a useless $1100 table and pallet sitting in our garage that we haven’t gotten help with. Pretty unacceptable :("

Love the parson set

"Love the design, easy to assemble and sturdy for CO winters."

Michele W. (5/5)

Love this table! It’s so

"Love this table! It’s so strong and we don’t have to worry about it rusting in a few years. We chose it because it had the most keg room underneath. It was worth the investment. Thank you."

Barbara G. (5/5)

Flawed but not fatal

"Sturdy and heavy (!) duty, it looks great. HOWEVER--the structure under the table was not installed square, so when we went to attach the legs, one of them did not fit and requires some chiseling in order to fit. It's still not square or perfect, but we decided good-enough. This was a disappointing flaw in an otherwise very nice table."

Q&A

What is the height from floor to apron bottom. This is because the apron is lower than tabke top and need to see if a wheelchair user will fit under without rubbing legs/thighs.
Hi Mary, the height from the floor to the bottom of the apron is 27 inches. This is the clearance space under the table. We recommend comparing this with your wheelchair height to ensure a comfortable fit. Hope this helps answer your question. Best, Miriam
Hello there. Does the Parsons Table come come in Vintage Finish as well? Thank you.
Hello Bel, Thanks for asking! I apologize, this is not currently available in the Vintage Finishes. I can pass on your interest to the design teams for consideration. Please sign up for the newsletter, as anything new that may come along would be announced there. Thanks, Mindy
The 72" Parson's Table has been getting a lot of bad reviews over the last couple of months for poor quality on the leg assembly. Have these issues been resolved? I am holding off buying until I see more 5 star reviews.

Have the quality control issues been resolved on this table or are the holes still misaligned? Love the look of the table and think it’s perfect for our patio, but the reviews stating that it’s difficult to put together worry us.
Hi Steve, Great question! Our customers have provided constructive feedback regarding the assembly of this table. Based on our review of the table and assembly process, we've determined that many instances are not due to quality control issues, but rather a matter of the need to more explicitly explain the assembly instructions, as each step is crucial to the stability and functionality of the table. We understand that this particular table may present some unique and sometimes overlooked variables during assembly. To address these, we are currently in the process of creating a detailed instructional video. This video will provide step-by-step guidance and helpful tips to make the assembly process as straightforward as possible. We would also encourage customers to review the PDF version of the assembly instructions on our website before purchasing this item and proactively ask any questions they may have. Thanks for asking! Lana
Will the 60" Parsons bench fit tucked under the 72" Parsons table? Will the Chippendale dining armed as well as side chairs fit with this table? Thanks!
Hi Evelyn, Great question! The Parsons Dining Table 38 x 72 has 62.25 inches between the table legs. The distance from the floor to the bottom of the Parsons table apron is 27 inches and the arm height of the Chippendale Dining Chair with arms is 24.25 inches. Thanks! Lana
I am hoping to use this table on a second floor deck but I am concerned about whether my husband and I can lift it. How much does the table top weigh vs the legs? Do you offer any type of delivery service? Thanks
Hi Ann! Thanks for reaching out with your question! The Parsons 38x72 Dining Table overall weighs approx. 140lbs including packaging. The tabletop alone weighs 105lbs. We do not offer assembly services, but if you cannot recruit friends and neighbors, consider Handy.com for additional assistance! I hope this helps! Tracey
A prior response to the question of how much clearance/space is between the legs was 71 inches, but that can't be correct if the entire width is 72 inches...can you please clarify actual space between the legs both width wise and depth wise?
Hi Brittany, Great question! The distance between the table legs lengthwise is 65.25" and the width distance is 30.75". Thanks! Lana
Can the Parson's Dining table be used with 8 oxford dining chairs (armless)? Not sure if it's big enough to fit that amount
Hello Aliza, Having 8 chairs on the 72" table would most likely not fit comfortably. Typically, if we have a set with 8 chairs, it is on a 96" table, to allow ample room for your guests. Thanks for asking, Mindy
I am curious about the support structure underneath the table top. I am worried about it warping.
Hi Jody, Thank you for your inquiry! Our tabletops are designed to withstand all of the elements and are warranted against warping. You can see the bracing placement underneath the tabletop by looking at the Assembly Instructions on the Parsons Dining Table product page under the Product Details section. Thanks! Lana
Classic White: Could this 84" Parsons be ordered in classic white? We love the table size for 8 people and would prefer classic finish, as the ~$2,000 increase over the 72" Parsons in classic white does not seem to be worth it. We love supporting American made companies and hope you will consider offering classic white as a more cost effective option.
Hi Josh, Thank you for your question! The 84" Parsons dining table is exclusive to our Designer Series collection and has a Vintage lumber profile. Currently, in our Classic finish we have both 97" and 72" dining tables available in white. I'm happy to forward your suggestion for an 84' dining table in our Classic finish on to our engineers for future consideration. I would also encourage you to sign up for our newsletter, which is located at the bottom of our homepage on www.polywood.com. This way you'll get insider access to new arrivals, upcoming promotions and exclusive giveaways. Thanks! Lana
Is this available in all the colors?
Hi Jon, Great question! The Parsons 38" X 72" Dining Table is only available in the more traditional colors such as Slate Grey, Black, Teak, Green, Mahogany, White, and Sand. Thanks for asking, Michelle
Love the parsons table but like the vintage finish better. Can we have the table made in the vintage finishes? Thanks
Hello Karla, Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in our Parsons 38" X 72" Dining table. At this time we do not have this table available in our Vintage Finish and do not offer customer orders to make it using that finish. I will certainly pass this along as feedback for future offers. Thanks -Jason
What are the dimensions inside the table legs? Could 3 chairs fit on each side?
Hello Christina, Thank you for reaching out with your question! There is approximately 71 inches between the legs of the Parsons 38" X 72" Dining Table. Some chairs, like the Lakeside side chair would be able to accommodate three on each side, while others, like the Lakeside arm chair would not. If you have a dining chair you are thinking of, you can see the dimensions on the product page, in order to determine if three will fit comfortably for your guests. Thanks, Mindy
How many people can fit comfortably around this table?
Hello Cindy, We typically suggest 6 people around the 72" tables, to allow your guests to have ample room and be comfortable. Thanks, Mindy
What is the width between legs on this table? Is it feasible to fit 3 chairs on each side? Maybe Lakeside chairs?
Hi Christina, Thank you for reaching out with your question! There is approximately 71 inches between the legs of the Parsons 38" X 72" Dining Table. The Lakeside Dining Arm Chair is about 24.8 inches wide and the Lakeside Dining Side Chair is about 18.18 inches wide. With this being said, 3 of the Lakeside Dining Side Chairs would be able to fit with enough comfortability, while 3 the Lakeside Dining Arm Chairs would not. I hope this information was helpful! Best wishes, Michelle
Which of your benches will work with this table?
Hello Joanie, Any of our 60" benches would work great with this table. We have a few that are backless and would look nice, however, there is a Parsons 60" bench that may be closer to the look of the table. https://www.polywood.com/parsons-60-bench-dbn60.html Thanks for asking, Mindy
How many people does this table seat? Could it fit 8?
Hello Joanie, We typically suggest 6 seats at the 72" tables, to allow ample room so your guests can be comfortable. Depending on the chair, you could fit 3 on each of the long sides, but it would mean your guests would not have a great deal of room between each other. If there is a chair you like, you can look at the measurements to see if 3 would fit nicely on that 72" side of the table. Thanks, Mindy
How much room is there between the legs, both on width and length?
Hi Andree, The space between the width of the legs is 30.75". The space between the length of the legs is 65.25". We hope this helps for your planning purposes! Thanks for asking, Brooke
