I’ve seen reviews that comment on the adjustable chairs (Vineyard and Nautical). Has the problem with the chairs slipping out of position been resolved?

Have had these chairs for almost 2 years. Purchased 5 chairs. Love the vintage but so do the squirrels as they have decided to knaw their sharp teeth on the top edges and have left behind very sharp edges that can cut someone’s hand when moving them. What grit of sandpaper does your production team recommend to smooth out these rough edges. I am concerned that our guests or family will get hurt on the sharp edges.

Hello Janice, I'm so sorry that the squirrels in your area have taken a liking to your furniture! It can be quite frustrating, I understand. I apologize, but using sandpaper is not recommended. The recycled HDPE plastic material may not become smooth with sandpaper, and it might leave lines and marks instead. Do the chairs need to be assembled, or do they come already assembled?

For these adjustable chairs, how much does the back shift? I would love to see side-by-side picture of the most vertical and most relaxed positions. Also, does the seat shift or is it just the back? thanks!

Hello Christine, those are great questions. For the Vineyard Folding Chair each position changes the angle by about 2 degrees. Position 1: 109 degrees Position 2: 107 degrees Position 3: 105 degrees. For the seat position, it should not change. Is there an ottoman that would work with either the Nautical or Vineyard Folding Dining Folding Chairs? I need a chair for relaxing in a small space and am equally concerned about comfort. Is there an ottoman that could work with any of your folding chairs?

Hi Ginna, That's a good question! Our ottomans that we have available are made to pair with our Adirondack chairs and our deep seating collections. However, you could use these to pair with your dining chair as well. We have a small balcony off a bedroom in our beach rental, so I'm looking for something that can be hung on the side railing when not in use. Between this and the Nautical Highback Chair, would one be more comfortable for relaxing? It won't be used for dining, so just wondering if one is better suited for my situation.
