FIRST CLASS AND MOST COMFORTABLE

"FIRST CLASS AND MOST COMFORTABLE EASY ASSEMBLE"

Mack G. (5/5)

Misaligned joints

"Had a customer order this set and it took a total of 3hours to assemble. A few of the joints had totally misaligned holes. Ended up having to redrill the holes to make the set go together. Won’t be ordering this set again in the future."

Comfy

"Wonderful rocking chair! Right amount of depth for your bottom of legs to be comfortable. And you can lay your head back too. The addition of the ottoman was great!"

Yolanda P. (5/5)

Great quality, easy assembly, beautiful.

"Great quality, easy assembly, beautiful. Very pleased!!!"

Challenging assembly

"The chairs are nice. The issue we ran into is that several holes did not line up. I could not put the chairs together by myself because of this. We had purchased two and both were the same way. We read the instructions and watched the video online to ensure we were not missing a step. The video has a female putting the chairs together and everything lines up perfectly. Well that is not reality. My husband was able to use some tools and basically made it work. So he made the holes in the spots were they were needed. The issue is that those holes partially include holes that were drilled in the incorrect spots by the company. The chairs feel sturdy right now but for what I paid, I honestly expected better ease of assembly. Having these issues makes me question what is the quality control like at Polywood overall? I had intended on buying more pool furniture from this company. I will likely still purchase some but I am not as confident in their products now. I am also dreading the assembly part. Overtime, I am sure the frustration with the assembly issues will go away and I will just love the chairs. As I said, they do seem like good chairs and good quality. If we hadn’t had an upcoming event, I could have tried to get a replacement but it took several weeks to get the chairs and I wanted them together before our get together with friends."

Polywood Seashell Rocker set w/ table

"Although rather expensive, the old adage of "you get what you pay for" aplies to this product. Before ordering, I did a virtual chat to make sure that my order would arrive in the two week period stated. I was assured that it would and sure enough, it did. Upon delivery, my first impression was "Damn. These chairs are heavy!" The assembly directions were very easy and clear to follow. However, I did encounter one piece that wouldn't fit deep enough into the mortise slot on another piece to allow the screw holes to line up. I easily remedied the situation by using a belt sander to remove enough material to correct the issue. I contemplated dropping my rating to a 4 but decided not to, as this set is too gorgeous and well constructed to do so. Overall, assembly for the two rockers and table took a little over an hour. Now complete and in place on our front porch, we look forward to the comfort of rocking in them for many years to come."

Stylish comfortable low maintenance and built to last outdoors.

"We bought two (non rocking) Seashell chairs 10 years ago and wanted to add two rockers of the same style to our backyard fire pit area. The new rockers match perfectly and there has been no color change in the old ones even after 10 years outside in the elements. (All are the mahogany color. ). An occasional cleaning with my pressure washer is all the maintenance that I’ve done. We are equally pleased with the Euro table and chair set that we got for our screened porch five years ago. Definitely worth the investment."

James L. (5/5)

Very Disappointed

"Waited five months for these two rockers. Finally received, but the left rocker piece for each chair was improperly cut so the holes don’t align for assembly. So I am stuck with two rocking chairs that I can’t use. Waiting to hear back from customer service. No response yet to the claim I was told to file. Very disappointed."

R M. (1/5)

The most comfortable rocker!!

"First sat in one of these chairs in the Caribbean and loved the style, look and comfort. Just received my 2 chairs from Polywood. My husband put them together in less than 15 minutes. I am so pleased. There will be many years of rocking and reading on my front porch. Excellent, beautiful product!"

Q&A

How many sections of the Seashell Rocking Chair arrive for assembly? What is the lumber dimensions of the main frames, i.e. vertical legs, rocket bottoms, etc?
Hello Richard, The exact assembly instructions for an item can be found by scrolling down past Product Details, and clicking on Assembly Information. For this chair, it comes in 8 pieces. (see picture below) ![](https://polywoodinc.zendesk.com/attachments/token/7DY48X6QgeURge7oH8dlQ0FVQ/?name=image.png) Please also see the dimensions of the char below. ![](https://polywoodinc.zendesk.com/attachments/token/fsIrWAUqjjT9RtxCeKH1XPUNU/?name=image.png) Thanks for asking, Mindy
What is the depth - sitting in the chair my butt to back of knees. Sorry if I missed this measurement. I’m hoping longer than Liesure Lawn’s 17” depth, which is short. I want it to be a deep depth so I can sit comfortably. Is it unheard of to also get the ottoman with the rocker?
Hey Yol, Thank you for your interest in our Rocking chairs. The seat Depth on this chair is 17.75". As for an ottoman, it is not something that we commonly see, but you certainly can get an ottoman with it. Thanks -Jason
Hi! Can you make it available in the vintage coffee finish please. I have a set in that color and would like to match it. Would i be able to buy as a special order in the vintage finish?
Hello Mairobys, Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in our Seashell Rocking Chair. At this time we do not have this available in the Vintage Coffee finish, but I will certainly submit this feedback to be used for a potential new ideas. With our items I do apologize, but we are not able to place custom or special orders like this. Thanks -Jason
Why is this rocker more expensive than the modern curve back? Why are white and sand more expensive? Just curious
Hello Sudha, These are good questions. The rocker is more expensive due to the design and how much lumber is needed to make the chair. Our White and sand colors are more costly as they take more plastic and pure material to make those colors. Thanks -Jason
What is the height of the seat back, from the back of the seat straight up to the top of the middle slat?
Hello James, Thanks for asking, that is a great question! The chair back is 29 5/16" from the back of the seat to the top of the middle slat. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions. Have a wonderful day! Heidi
Please help me understand how this rocker in white costs $669 and an almost identical Nautical Curveback Adirondack Chair in white costs $319, or $350 LESS?
Hi there David! Thanks for reaching out with such a great question! I don't believe you can necessarily compare the Nautical Curveback Adirondack Chair to the Seashell Rocking Chair, as these are different styles of chairs. You can certainly compare the cost of the Seashell Adirondack Chair, which I've linked below, to the Seashell Rocking Chair. There is of course a price difference because of the rocking capabilities. If you'd like you can also compare the cost of the Nautical Adirondack Chair to the Nautical Rocking Chair, which I have also linked below. I hope this answers your question! All the best, Kaitlyn
Can you put the rockers on dirt or pea gravel?
Hi Polly, Yes, you can use the rockers on dirt or pea gravel. The material is very durable so you won't do any serious damage (you may notice a few scuffs to the rocker bottoms is all). You may notice the chair doesn't rock quite as smoothly as it would on a flat surface, like a porch or patio for example. Great question; thanks for asking! Candace
