Can the 60" vineyard swing work with 5" clearance on either side?

I seen in the questions that this swing is not available in a 48” size. But could I modify the 60” one to get it close to a 48” size by cutting down the horizontal pieces before assembly? I am a very avid woodworker and have a lot of experience. We really like this style and the price is right too vs the available 48” models you have. Thanks

I am looking for 3 porch swings that will stay white for years to come. Years ago, I purchased 3 swings plus rocking chairs (not from you). The rocking chairs have stayed white and my swings are now yellow! Looks horrible on my porch. Will your products stay white through the years?

At this time, we do not sell free-standing swing frames, but you can use a swing stand from a different manufacturer. Just make sure it meets the size and weight specifications of the swing you're interested in. (For this swing you'll need the weight of the frame to be able to support up to 750 lbs., plus the actual weight of the swing.) A zinc-coated galvanized steel chain kit will be included with your swing purchase. **The kit includes:** - (4) 5-foot sections of chain - (4) eye bolts - (6) quick link chain connectors Mounting hardware is sold separately. This is because all structural supports are different, so we suggest talking to a carpenter or hardware professional to determine what items you need to install your swing. The lock not does NOT fit the F eye bolt for the porch swing. The two items are threaded differently/different thread gaps for each item. Why do they NOT match up?

When you state 250 lbs per seat does that mean if the porch swing seats two people it can hold 500lbs OR if two people are sitting on it the combined weight of the two people should be no more than 250 lbs

Hello Sana, If you scroll down past the product dimensions, you can click on Assembly Information, which will give you the assembly instructions that will come with the swing. For the assembly of this particular swing, it says "Hanging mounts should be about 65" apart". The best cushion for an item can be found under the color selections, by clicking on 'Shop Accessories'. Is it possible to substitute chain on the porch swing for the rope used on the daybed swing?

Hi - you mention the rating of 250lbs per seat and this has the equivalent of 3 seats (so 750lbs for the bench), yet you mention in another response that the swing and chain used was tested to hold 400lbs which would only be 133lbs per seat, not counting the weight of the bench. Is it the chain or the connection at the bench that is the weak link? Would it be possible to use a stronger chain to hold 3 adults of 200 lbs each, which the bench can handle?
