Do you sell the stand this swing would attach to?

Is the seat deep enough & comfortable for an adult, with a comfortable angle to lean back?

Hi Diane, Great question! The seat depth is 18.44 inches, a common depth for swings and benches. You can adjust the angle of a porch swing when installing it by carefully adjusting the length of the hanging chains or ropes on either side of the swing, allowing you to fine-tune the tilt and achieve the desired comfortable angle before fully securing it to the mounting points; most often, you can make adjustments by simply moving the chains slightly forward or backward depending on the desired tilt. Does the dark green get hot in the summer sun?

Hello Cindy, POLYWOOD furniture is designed to remain outdoors in all climates. However, on very hot, sunny days some of our darker lumber colors will absorb heat more readily if they are placed in the direct sunlight. We always recommend that our customers test the temperature of their furniture with the back of their hand on these hot days to ensure they are safe to sit on, but we also suggest moving the furniture to a shady area or covering the furniture with a suitable outdoor furniture cover. Hi Amy, Thank you for your question. From what I see on the product page the overall dimensions in the drawing match the the dimensions in the chart. To confirm, the overall dimensions of the swing are: 50.25"W x 30.85"H x 29.91D" and the seat dimensions are: 41" W x 6.28" H x and 18.44" D. Currently, I have a swing attached to a beam screwed into two pines, seven feet off the ground. I read where you suggest 9 feet high, but will the swing work from seven feet?

I already have eye bolts installed on my front porch from an existing porch swing we are now replacing, I know they are very secure and I know they do not need to be replaced. The ceiling height of my porch (floor to bottom of existing eye bolts) is 9 feet 1 inch, and the eye bolts are mounted 48 inches apart. Will this work for the Pollywood 48 inch porch swing?

Hi Scott, We recommend the mounting hardware be 4-6 inches wider than the length of the swing, arm rest to arm rest and the swing should hang at least 17-19" from the ground. What is the maximum weight seating capacity of this swing?

Hello Sally, Thank you for reaching out about our VIneyard Adirondack 48" Swing. All of POLYWOOD's products are put through standard ASTM testing. Each seat section of the swing is tested to hold up to 400 pounds. Thanks -Jason

Does this move a lot in the wind? We are thinking of hanging this in between two brick-based pillars that would allow 3 inches of space on each side of the swing, but if it sways a lot in the wind that would impact our decision.

Hi Rlbach, Thanks so much for reaching out to us! The assembled weight of the Vineyard Adirondack 48" Swing is 48 pounds, which is pretty heavy. Although, this swing is heavy there is no guarantee that it may not move with very heavy winds. People getting into it roughly could potentially make it sway and hit those pillars. The swings look beautiful. I was wondering, however, if the finished product looks like very shiny plastic (like you see on some fencing). I wanted a composite type look that actually looks like wood.
