MEET SUSIE

Susie is the creative force behind the popular family-owned food blog Hey Grill Hey, which came to life in 2015. As a busy mom and business owner, her goal has always been to make barbecuing fun and approachable for all skill levels.

Since its inception, Hey Grill Hey has gained a variety of accolades. It was named the Best BBQ Blog in 2023 and 2024 by the National Barbecue & Grilling Association and earned top honors for its delicious rubs and sauces. Additionally, Susie has judged barbecue competitions, taught thousands of eager cooks through her barbecue classes, and appeared on multiple Food Network shows.

Susie has even been involved in two Guinness World Records. She joined the Ball Park brand for the longest team barbecue marathon in 2015. Two years later, she and 335 others set a new record in Smithfield's largest grilling lesson.
