Marine-Grade Resin FAQs
Marine-grade resin is an ultra-durable, versatile material used in many popular home products, including pool furniture.
In-pool furniture from our Laguna Collection is crafted from marine-grade rotomolded linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE).
Marine-grade resin is the ideal material for pool furniture because it’s lighter than HDPE, more durable than LDPE, and better at resisting impacts and punctures than both plastics. This means furniture made with marine-grade resin is easy to move in and out of swimming pools and is strong enough to handle frequent use and accidental bumps or drops without damage.
Yes—our Laguna Collection is specifically designed for in-pool use.* However, we don’t recommend using our other furniture collections in your swimming pool.

*NOTE: Do not place furniture in water deeper than nine inches; otherwise, it might float.
Follow these steps to set your furniture up on your swimming pool ledge:
- Remove the plugs from the bottom of your furniture.
- Insert the sealed sandbags (included with your order) inside the openings and then replace the plugs.
- Place your furniture on the pool ledge and hold it there for a few minutes to let the water fill the drainage holes.* When you no longer see bubbles coming from the holes, you’ll know it’s full.
To remove your furniture, simply pull it from the pool and let the water drain out.
*NOTES:
- Side tables must be held on their sides when filling with water.
- Do not place furniture in water deeper than nine inches; otherwise, it might float.
