Looking at this set for our New Jersey beach house. Love our current Polywood (without slings) and the fact that we don’t have to bring inside to store for winter. Will the slings withstand staying outside year round, in Northeast coastal weather?? Thank you!

This durable, fast-drying fabric is engineered for strength and dimensional stability and, like all POLYWOOD materials, it’s a breeze to keep clean. While we recommend storing the furniture over the winter months to make spring cleaning easier, it’s not a strict requirement. How many inches from the seat of the chair to the floor?

I noticed metal bars across the back of the bar height chairs and across the front of the seat. What are they made of and will they rust outside on the patio of a coastal home? Is there some maintenance/product hat you can recommend to keep these bars from rusting?

What kind of fabric is the sling because in one pic it looks like a weave hoarse sling material? Is it your typical sling chair material? I am wondering regarding comfort. I don't want it to be itchy if sitting on chairs on shorts.

Are the slings easy to clean if food stains or wine gets spilled on them?

Can the mesh chairs be left out during the winter in snow and ice climates uncovered or will this deteriorate then quicker?

Hello JJ, Our sling fabric (the mesh) is an all-weather material that resists not only mildew, fading, and tearing, but also extreme weather and environmental conditions including blizzards, salt spray, humidity, hot sun, and more. We do suggest covering it, as it will make it easier to get all the snow off after the cold months, and will help prolong the life of the furniture, but it is not required. Easily extend the life of your Phifertex® sling fabric by cleaning it with the homemade solution below once or twice a year with moderate use: Mix a simple cleaning solution with 1 Tbsp mild dish soap and 2 Tbsp bleach per gallon of water. Apply mixture to sling fabrics with a sponge or soft cloth and clean thoroughly. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry. Do not allow prolonged solution exposure to furniture hardware. Is the sling covered under 20 year warranty as well?

Here is the "Sling Fabric" section of our warranty policy! **SLING FABRIC** Sling fabric is warranted from tears and becoming non-functional because of loss of dimensional stability from exposure conditions including sunlight, mildew, rot and abnormal atmospheric conditions for three (3) years of residential use.
