A great choice for a memorial bench

"I bought this particular bench to serve as a memorial to my parents. They bought a property on an island in Lake Champlain back in 1970 and we spent every summer out there. I was a little worried that a 48" bench would be too tight for two people, but it isn't at all - it sits two quite comfortably. However, the main reason I chose this bench was because of the larger rail across the top of the back. I wanted to have a brass plaque made to install on this rail. I had a really hard time getting an answer from Polywood about the exact height of this rail. Once I finally got past the AI bot, an actual human sent me a schematic of the bench showing the height of the back rail as 3 3/4", so I ordered a plaque that would fit that space. When I finally assembled the bench, I measured the top rail and it is actually 4 1/8" high. There is a steel rod that runs across the back of the top rail, so I had to install the plaque slightly lower than centered, but I still think it looks great. All in all, I love how the bench looks both on its own and with the brass plaque."

I need the dimensions of the top horizontal piece to order a plaque to be attached to it. Thank you.
Hi Donna, Thank you for your question! The headrail is 4 inches at its highest point. Attaching plaques to our furniture won't void the warranty for the entire furniture item. However, please note the specific component the plaque is connected to will be exempt from the warranty due to using screws or adhesives to modify the part. Thank you, Lana

Hello Carla, The Lakeside Dining Side chairs and Arm chairs have been weight tested up to 350 pounds. If you are looking at sets with other chairs, you can click the link to the chair under This Set Includes. The weight limit should then be listed under the Features section on that chair.
