Defective Chairs – Poorly Assembled & Unsafe

"The table is solid, well-made, and worth 5 stars. Once assembled, it looks great and feels sturdy. HOWEVER - The chairs are a complete disaster. They arrived already “assembled” but the workmanship is shockingly bad — crooked joints, large gaps, poorly aligned pieces, wobbly, and visible flaws (see photos). They feel unstable and unsafe to sit on. These are not just disappointing, they are unacceptable for the price point. This is our first time buying Polywood and we did not expect this at all."

Love the product, not the shipping or customer service

"My new Plywood chairs are very sturdy, solid, and look great (aside from a few frayed pieces of plastic at the joints where the chair frame connects to the seat and back). My issues are with the shipping and customer service. I would expect a lot better when paying this much. Shipping notices sent to me via email were inaccurate on delivery dates. My order came in two separate shipments, which is fine, but the emails and tracking info on when to expect the orders were incorrect. When the items arrived, the boxes they were in were damaged, ripped open and the chairs were covered in dirt (although not damaged, thankfully). When I tried to flag these issues with customer service, the selections for what you can report as a customer service issue are so limited that it was nearly impossible to just email customer service and let them know that when you're paying top dollar for a product like this, the delivery of the items should match the quality of the item purchased."

Sturdy good looking chairs

"Absolutely love our new edge dining side chair. I have been looking for furniture that will last as I am so tired of replacing every few years. These chairs are super sturdy and look great. It’s not easy to find furniture that works for my husband as he is a big guy (6’4” 300lbs) and he fits great in these. They aren’t super comfortable after sitting in them for over an hour but I did order the cushions so that should help. Will definitely be adding on to this set :)"

Solid But Subpar Workmsnship/Deaign

"The table and chairs look nice and are heavy and mostly sturdy however several of the chairs have bent legs and the table top is not level on the ends. The top slopes /is bent on one end. The chairs should probably have a cross member to connect the 2 sides to prevent them from bending. I would have expected better workmanship for a table set in this price range. ."

Chairs Have Bent Legs - Not Returnable

"I purchased six Edge chairs without arms. Four of the six chairs had noticably bent legs. Two of the four chair legs were significantly bent. . . 3/4 and 1" difference at top versus bottom. I sent pictures and worked with a customer service representative, Andrew. When I heard back he said the two significantly bent chairs aren't bad enough to return. They aren't willing to replace them or assist in any way. For a $260 chair, one would think the workmanship would be much better and if the. product isn't right, one would think they would stand behind it. Apparently not. I've sent two emails, asking to be connected with a manager but zero response. I'm VERY disappointed with Polywood's service. I would not recommend buying these chairs or purchasing from Plywood."

How hot to touch do surfaces of Polywood products get? If chair is in full sun, will seat be do hot to sit on with shorts?
Hi Jane! Thank you for asking! No worries! The material will be warm on a hot summer day in direct sunlight, but it will always be comfortable enough for you to use, even in shorts! We use UV inhibitors and stabilizers to ensure it never gets hot to the touch. The darker colors will absorb more heat than the lighter ones, but it will not get hot enough to burn you or make you uncomfortable enough not to sit down. Thanks again, Sharon
What weight will it hold?

Are these chairs stackable?
