Expensive chairs that aren’t made well

"I thought these chairs were expensive to begin with, but then when I received them I was even more disappointed. The back pieces would not align with holes on the arms of the chair which meant I needed to cut a piece off for it to work. I mean for such a simple chair, with a few holes you’d expect it to be easy to put together. The material makes it durable so it’s a good chair to leave outside but come on guys where’s your QA team? They’re made to order and they’re still made so poorly? Disappointing."

Good but…

"The product is good for your price. Loll is higher quality but a higher price. Assembly is ok. Some of the pre-drilled holes needed a hammer to get the bolt through and some of the edges needed a shave as there were curls of plastic. Also the instructions missed out how to attach a cross bar. Thankfully I spotted this before assembling the whole chair. Happy with the end result though."

Factory Quality issue

"I love the chairs but you sent one the four with 2 parts assemble backwards. I had to take them apart and then put them back together to get the chair to work. In doing so the holes stripped out some and the front part is not flush. They are not to hard to assemble, to bad that one was assemble wrong in the factory, so quality was an issue."

"Smaller than expected (fits a person less than 5’4). Easy assembly. Flat back is not as comfortable as a slight curve would be. The cushion is a nice addition."

Is there a way to keep squirrels from chewing on it. And what can you do once you have chew marks?

Is the color fade resistant and is that covered under the warranty?
Hi J.M., Genuine POLYWOOD lumber is made up of about 99% of recycled high-density polyethylene plastic (HDPE). The other materials that are blended into the lumber are light-stable pigments, stabilizers, and UV inhibitors which allow the colors of our lumber to remain bright and vibrant year after year. Do you make a small footstool that can be used with a rocket?
Hello Jane, We do not make footstools, but we do have many ottomans. The Modern Studio Adirondack Chair does not have a perfect pairing ottoman, but you can choose one that will be close. This chair has a seat height of 13.79". We have one ottoman with a height of 13.5", which is the OT400 - Vineyard Adirondack Ottoman. We also have the OT53 - Classic Adirondack Folding Ottoman, that is 14" high. Thanks for asking. I hope this helps, Mindy
This looks almost identical to the modern Adirondack chair. What is the difference?
To Derek. Thank you for reaching out with your question! The main difference lies in the style and size of the chair. Overall, the chair will be the same quality and is tested to hold up to 400 lbs. comfortably per seat. Our Modern Studio Adirondack chair is smaller and built to be more slim. This also has a different seat assembly and back leg style, while the back also appears bigger and has different shaped back slats. Best wishes, Jay C.
Does darker color (black) poly wood outdoor furniture get hotter than other colors?
Hello Roberta, That is a great question. POLYWOOD furniture is designed to remain outdoors in all climates. However, on very hot, sunny days some of our darker lumber colors will absorb heat more readily if they are placed in the direct sunlight. We always recommend that our customers test the temperature of their furniture with the back of their hand on these hot days to ensure they are safe to sit on, but we also suggest moving the furniture to a shady area or covering the furniture with a suitable outdoor furniture cover.
