"These POLYWOOD woven Presidential rocking chairs were very comfortable and looked beautiful on our porch for many years. They’re now about 12–13 years old, and honestly the brown frame still looks great overall with just a little fading. The woven material, however, became brittle over time and started flaking and disintegrating on both chairs. I contacted POLYWOOD and they responded quickly and professionally, but explained that the woven portions are only covered under a 5-year warranty, while the advertised 20-year warranty mainly applies to the POLYWOOD lumber/frame itself. I wanted to mention this for future buyers because when you look at the chair listing, the “20-year warranty” is displayed prominently right alongside the product. In my opinion, that feels a little deceptive because it’s easy to assume the whole chair is covered for 20 years unless you dig deeper into the detailed warranty information and discover that the weave, hardware, and other components have much shorter coverage periods. I still think POLYWOOD makes quality furniture overall and appreciated the helpful customer service. I just wish the warranty distinctions for woven products were communicated more clearly upfront."

"We bought this chair about 11 years ago. . . it sat out in direct hot sun, rain, ice and snow - year-round - in Nebraska. The back got snapped due to some heavy lifting. . . we didn't hesitate to replace the exact chair. We love it. It looks great and is a comfortable fit. The weave makes it softer and breathable."

Awesome, All Weather Outdoor Rocker

"Extremely happy with these Polywood Rockers with one suggestion, the hardware supplied!. . . Because the bolts supplied have a recessed hex head and are coated, the bits supplied to drive them in, does not fit well and real easy to strip the head without putting really hard pressure on them with a power drill driver . . I would recommend going with a hex head bolt that can be used with a socket and ratchet. . . Other than that, we love the rockers!"

The reviews sound like there have been real issues with the alignment of the holes when assembling this chair. Have those issues been fixed? I really don't want to buy a chair that is not made properly causing me to find a way to solve the problem during assembly. If the issues have been fixed, then I would be interested in purchasing.

With the alignment issues what happens is some pieces sometimes get over-tightened or not tightened enough and just need to be tweaked for everything to line up. The woven plastic has broken on our Presidential rocking chairs. Do you have replacements?
Hi Linda, I apologize for the delay, I was out of the office yesterday. We can only replace with weave panels, we cannot replace with polywood slats. Each weave set is $59 for the back and the seat weave panel and yours are in White Loom. Does having the woven back rest make these more comfortable than the regular Presidential rockers?

Some customers do find this style to be a little more comfortable since the woven material does have more give than our POLYWOOD lumber. I read elsewhere on the Jefferson rocker that the woven seat and back have a 5-year warranty, however, the lumber has a 20-year warranty. Is there a way to replace the seat and back if they sustain damage after five years without having to buy a new rocker?

If something happens to them outside of the five years, there will be a cost to replace them.
