My 2x6 ceiling joists are on 16 inch centers. I will be installing such that the front right and front left hangers will share one joist and the back right and back left hangers will share another joist (just like your installation video). However Your install instructions state to place the front and back hangers 34 inches apart. Based on my configuration if I put them in the center of my existing joists they would end up being only 32 inches apart. Is that OK? My joists are not exposed and I do not have to them from above. They are southern yellow pine spanning 8 feet and are attached to front porch beam and house front wall by hurricane rated ceiling joist hangers and framing nails.

Hi! I had my vineyard daybed swing installed professionally. However, I noticed when I sit in it, it tends to slide along the rope and pitches forward over time. What do you recommend to keep in place?

If your Vineyard Daybed Swing is sliding along the rope and pitching forward, it usually means the ropes need to be re-balanced and re-tensioned so the weight is distributed evenly. We recommend having your installer, or any professional familiar with hanging swings, check that both ropes are set to equal lengths, ensure all knots are secure and fully tightened, and adjust the ropes so the swing hangs level from all sides.
