Crystal Firepit Rain Water Solution

"We love our Adirondack chairs and square Crystal Fire Pit. We bought it for our new Dayton, Ohio summer home and Vacation Rental. It’s a big hit with our guests! One suggestion…. Our fire pit is on our open patio. We use the cover provided when not using it. When it rains, the water pools in the portion covering the crystal pit and sinks in. We bought a 24” round aluminum water heater pan to fit over the glass ring at Home Depot. It does the trick perfectly, and the rain water just runs off!!"

We bought this becuase it

"We bought this becuase it matched our exisitng Polywood furninture. We are not disappointed in that aspect. However, getting the propane gas tank into and out of the table is difficult for us as I am over 60 yrs old. It would have been much better if there was a sliding tank holder like many tables have."

Satisfied

"Like all Polywood furniture, this fire table looks to be a good quality item that should hold up in the Florida sun. Only negative from this purchasing experience is that this item is a bit pricey."

Q&A

Is it ok to use lave rock with the fire tables?
Hi Michelle, Great question! Yes, you can swap out the glass with lava rocks. A few things to know: No more than 10 lbs of lava in the burner. If you will it up to the top, it will cause issues with the flame. Be sure there are no rocks inside the wind guard where the burner ignites. Best, Stephanie
How so I order new glass windshield and the turn valve (you push and turn to start) my table is 5 years old and these items along with the cover need to be replaced
Hello Joan, Great question! For assistance with ordering a replacement glass windshield, turn valve, or cover for your fire table, please contact our Help Center (https://help.polywood.com/hc/en-us). A member of our Customer Experience team will be happy to help identify the correct replacement parts for your model. Thanks for asking! Best, Emma
don't like he issue of nothing to keep burner sealed off while not using. when it rains and you have cover on top it is a paint to drain off water with or without guard on. Any recommendations. It would be better to have a way of sealing off burner section when not in use also would stop debris or leaves from falling in if you don't have it covered.
Hi Mike, Thank you for reaching out with your question! I can definitely pass your feedback on to our design teams for consideration. We recommend the Cover store, thecoverstore.com, as they have an extensive variety of quality covers that will fit most varieties of our furniture. We are not partnered with them. However, we do get a lot of recommendations about them with our product from customers. We don't have a list of SKU's or a best recommendation. We provide the dimensions of our items on the website so their customer service would be able to assist with any questions you might have regarding the covers. Hope this helps. Best, Michelle
What is the BTU output of the Nautical fire pit?
Hi Brad, The max BTU's for this fire pit table are 55,000. Thanks for asking! Lana
Does the Nautical 42" Fire Pit Table come in vintage colors? If not, any plans in the immediate works?
Hello Linda, That is a great question! At this time, the Nautical 42" Fire Pit Table is nto available in the Vintage FInishes. We do not have any plans currently, but I will be sure to pass your interest along. We do have three of our Fire Pit tables, available in those Vintage Finishes right now. https://www.polywood.com/styles/coffee-and-accent-tables/fire-pit-tables.html?polywood_frame_color=316 Thanks, Mindy
how many btu's is the nautical 42" fire pit table?
Hello TM, The Round and Nautical Fire Pit Tables produce 60,000 BTUs per hour, LP or NG. The Square Fire Pit Table produces between 60,000 – 90,000 BTUs. Thanks for asking, Mindy
Similar to a previous question, would love to see a cover for the burner area which could be used in the summer months and/or when firepit not in use. The given answer to this question references the cloth covering which can go over the entire firepit, but this is not addressing the issue. A cover over the burner area would allow the firepit to double as a table when the burner wasn't in use. Any plans for something like this?
Good afternoon Beth, Thank you for your question! The Outdoor Greatroom is the manufacturer of the fire components for the Fire Pit Tables, and they offer a burner cover for added protection! You can conveniently access their website by clicking on this link: https://outdoorrooms.com/outdoor-fireplaces/20-round-black-glass-burner-cover/ Have a great day! Thanks! Olivia
I see several questions about covers for the burner area only, to protect that area from the elements and provide more versatility as a table when there is no fire going. Is anything like that in the works? It seems that a drum-shaped cover that could fit over the burner without removing the glass shield would be ideal.
Hey Don, Thank you for reaching out to us. With our Fire Pit Tables, they do come with a cover to protect the bowl and glass guard when not in use. Thanks -Jason
Hello, Can I leave my firepit outside throughout the winter? We get a LOT of snow! Thank you!
Hello Jodi, Our all-weather material is built to withstand all four seasons and a range of climates including hot sun, snowy winters, salt spray, and heavy winds. However, covering your furniture will make seasonal cleaning easier while also prolonging the life of your Fire Pit Table, or any of our furniture. Thanks for asking, Mindy
Hello. We have a number of polywood pieces and love them. Just saw this and am really excited. We live off the ocean and rust is a problem. What is the burner made of? We usually get 2 years on the burner units inside our grill that we keep covered. If its not stainless, is it replaceable and what is the cost? Thanks.
Hello Martin, The fire components used in fire pit tables, including Crystal Fire® burners, ignitions, electronics, and glass guards, are not covered under the POLYWOOD warranty. (Click to view the Outdoor GreatRoom Company warranty) The burner has a limited lifetime warranty that you can view at the link above. Pricing for replacements would go through The Outdoor Great Room as well. Best wishes, Heather
If we wish to use the fire pit table on our deck with an outdoor rug underneath the table, is it advisable to use a fireproof mat between the table and the rug or is it not necessary?
Hello Michelle, Great question! With the heat of the fire pit all being above the bowl and having a wind guard there should be no need for anything to protect the rug as the heat goes up and out from the burner. Thanks, Heather
Hi- what is the diameter of the fire bowl?
Hi Ellen, the diameter of the bowl on the Nautical 42" Fire Pit Table is 19.75 inches. I hope this helps, Mindy
What is the diameter of the actual fire pit area cut out. (Where the flames and glass are located) thx!
Hi Justi, Thanks for asking! The fire pit area cut out, where the glass shield surrounds is 19"75 inches, with the glass shield itself being 20". I hope this helps, Mindy
What is the BTU on natural gas needed for the 42'' square fire pit ?
Hi Guillermo! Thanks for reaching out with your question! The highest BTU that we would recommend for this firepit table would be 55,000. Have a great day, Tracy
I have 4 Polywood chairs & 2 tables on the patio & have blended those pieces with various Trex furniture. I am on the verge of ordering the fire pit table but was dismayed when I read the reviews about the glass windscreen & its inherent problems. Has Polywood addressed the issue or is it still subject to coming apart? Michael B.
Hi Michael! Thanks for reaching out with your question. We completely understand your concerns regarding the reviews left on our fire pit tables, which we took very seriously. At one point we did remove all of the fire pit tables from our website to do some testing to fix the issues that were brought to our attention. At this time we have worked out any of the known issues, so our fire pit tables are all set for you to enjoy and will blend in nicely with your other POLYWOOD and Trex furniture. Have a great rest of your day, Tracy
I see the vertical clearance in some of the responses. What is the minimum horizontal clearance? More specifically, how far would it need to be from my deck railings?
Hi Carol, what a great question! From my calculations, you can actually put the edge of the table right up to your deck railing. It's the burner itself that should be at least 8" away from anything that might catch fire. Thanks for asking! Karen
What is the height & width of the CTF42N fire pit table circular Plexiglas surround? THX
Hi Michael, Thanks for reaching out! The Tempered Glass Wind Guard is 20" in diameter and the panels are 6.75" tall. Have a fantastic day! Candace
Does a cover for fire table come with it? If not where can one be ordered?
Hi Dee, Thank you for reaching out in regards to the Nautical 42" Fire Pit Table. This Fire Pit Table you are inquiring about does come with a cover. I hope this was helpful to you! Thanks, Nic
I’d prefer the table without the glass barrier. Is it safe to use it that way or is there a risk of the plastic melting?
Hi Dave, Thanks for following up! Failure to use the glass windguard while enjoying a fire would actually void your warranty. The guard keeps the table top protected from having the flames blown down onto your table which could cause problems with your surface and finish. While the material is very durable, it's still made of plastic and extended exposure to direct flames could definitely affect it. Have a great day! Candace
What is the width of the base? Trying to determine the footprint to see if it fits on a huge flat natural stone in our yard! Thank you
Hi P PDN, That's a great question! The width of the base will be 24.75". I hope this is helpful! Thank you for reaching out! Lindsey
