Coffee Table Features

Low Maintenance

Easy does it. Our patio furniture will always look as good as new with very little effort. It doesn’t need to be brought inside during inclement weather and cleans quickly and easily with soapy water and a soft-bristle brush.

Weatherproof

Rain, wind, and sleet shouldn't get in the way of enjoying your outdoor furniture. Unlike wood, POLYWOOD products are innovatively engineered to withstand all four seasons without splintering, rotting, cracking, or chipping.

Sustainability

Sustainability has always been our second nature. To protect and preserve natural resources for future generations, our durable patio furniture is made from reusable HDPE plastic.

Coffee Table Heights

Coffee tables come in many heights but are typically between 12–24 inches tall. Because seating styles range from low-profile ottomans to taller sectionals and chairs, coffee table heights also vary greatly. So how do you choose to correct dimensions? It will ultimately depend on your sofa or seating arrangement.

First and foremost, you should be able to comfortably place and pick up objects while seated. As such, a standard practice is to have the tabletop 2 inches lower than the seat height. You’ll also want to consider if it will double as a footrest, board game surface, or some other purpose—and make sure it’s not too high or too low for use.

FAQs
How do I decorate an outdoor coffee table?
Like their indoor counterparts, outdoor patio coffee tables are like a blank canvas for decorative vignettes. Depending on the amount of sun and moisture exposure your space gets, you can display small potted plants and cast-iron objects or a tray with tea wares and fresh-cut florals. Discover more design-driven tips and inspiration on our blog post about how to style an outdoor coffee table.
How much is shipping?
When you place an order with us, ground shipping is always free within the 48 contiguous states. There's no minimum purchase required and never any strings attached.
Can I use an indoor coffee table outdoors?
Yes, but remember that indoor furniture is not specifically made to withstand damaging heat and moisture. Therefore, it will weather quickly in the elements. If you want to use an indoor coffee table outdoors, consider placing it somewhere relatively protected, such as a sunroom, covered patio, or screened-in porch.
What is the most durable material for outdoor furniture?
Thanks to its incredible durability and weather resistance, we are partial to high-density polyethylene for outdoor furniture. Wrought iron and hardwoods such as teak and acacia wood also make for beautiful outdoor furniture, but these materials require frequent maintenance to avoid or repair any damage.
Should you put a rug under an outdoor coffee table?
Placing a rug under an outdoor coffee table is a great way to add style and softness underfoot. It also helps define the seating area. Your best bet is to find an easy-care outdoor rug that you can spray off with the garden hose.
