POLYWOOD Community Q&A

Does POLYWOOD last long?

“Love this—looks great and incredibly durable! We started buying POLYWOOD over 20 years ago as we live in the [South Carolina] mountains, and the weather destroys any wood or metal furniture. We power wash the furniture in the spring, and it still looks great! Porch pieces are 20 years old. We are very pleased with this piece as we added it to the pool furniture to hold cushions. Thanks for producing such a beautiful and durable product!”

“First saw these at the beach in a Florida state park about 10 years ago. To this day, the chairs have stood up to the salt and heat of the Florida coast. I finally received my chairs, and they are simply beautiful, sturdy, well-made, and easy to put together with great craftsmanship. P.S. I loved my chairs so much that I bought two more for additional guests. Thank you!”

Can POLYWOOD cushions stay out in the rain?

“Love the seat cushions as well as the table and chairs! Cushions got soaked after a good all-day rain, but dried up quickly the next day like they were never wet! Love the look and quality of the furniture!”

Barbara M.

“This is the most comfortable outdoor chair I have ever owned! The quality is great. Assembly was very easy. The Dune Burlap cushions are more comfortable than my living room furniture and have stood up to any rain so far without staining or residue. Debris just brushes right off with your hand. I can’t wait to purchase a matching Teak color sofa to go with them.”

Can you pressure wash POLYWOOD?

“Excellent, high-quality product. Pretty easy setup, very heavy, dense materials give the impression that it will last for years. The design is great, and the kids can make a mess on it and I can just hose (or pressure wash) it off. Will purchase other products from POLYWOOD when I need them.”

Christopher G.

“Beautiful furniture that has the durability and easy-to-clean features that I need. I love this set. Covers zip off the cushions to wash at the end of the season and the rest is an easy power wash. One table came damaged slightly, and they quickly sent a replacement. Good customer service!”

Can you leave POLYWOOD outside all year?

“Very comfortable and solidly made chair. Arms were very easy to attach. Like the fact that the chair is a little wider. Very happy that they can stay on the deck year-round. Already went through a strong thunderstorm, and nothing moved around.”

Jerry B.

“This is the third piece of furniture we have bought from POLYWOOD, and as usual, we are thrilled with the rocking chairs. We have two benches that we leave out all year, and they have been wonderful. Super smooth, no splinters, no painting/staining. Excellent merchandise.”

Is POLYWOOD hard to clean?

“Beautiful! Sturdy! Comfortable! We are enjoying these Adirondack chairs so much. They were easy to assemble, with detailed instructions and all the necessary tools and parts in the boxes. The other day a neighborhood project caused them to be covered in sawdust. I grabbed the hose, and they looked like new again after a good spray with water. We’d definitely purchase again!”

Sherri G.

“We love our black POLYWOOD Adirondack chairs, we added a second pair recently to match our first two. An exact match, with no fading or cracking after four years in the L.A. sun. Easy to assemble and very comfortable with the curved back. Nice modern/retro design, and easy to clean with soap and water. Couldn’t be happier!”

Are POLYWOOD chairs easy to get in and out of?

“Absolutely love the set. The staff was helpful in suggesting the upright chairs for my husband with mobility problems. I was able to assemble them with only a little help holding the back.”

Sharron R.

“Great looking and very comfortable chair that sits higher than the average Adirondack, making it simple to get in and out of for older folks like us. Very easy to assemble as well.”

Gary D.

Is POLYWOOD hard to put together?

“Great chairs. We were a little hesitant due to the price, but these are solid and will last for many years. Assembly was about 20–30 minutes per chair but can easily be done by one person. Material quality is really great. Very happy with them.”

Jason S.

“Love, love, love my investment in my POLYWOOD patio furniture. Easy [to get] out of the box and easy to put together for me. I put the entire set together by myself.”
